Snapped into Submission

Rate this book
Bored with the meaningless sex he was having, Gareth was looking for something different whilst cruising in the supermarket. He certainly got that when hunky Ralph approached and offered him a job - to model for an erotic photo shoot. The man was a dream, Gareth was hooked on the spot, but the cute young lad wanted more than a modelling job from this god of a man. And boy does he get it when he goes to Ralph’s flat and the camera comes out. It was different indeed, and very much to Gareth’s liking, when over two raunchy sessions his true nature is revealed by this dominant man and Gareth is... Snapped into submission! This book contains explicit gay m/m content and is suitable for readers 18 and above.

Jack Brighton

Jack Brighton is a British author who specialises in gay erotica with a BDSM slant. His books are widely available on all major e-book and specialist erotica sites, published by his company – Firm Hand Books.
Jack was born and raised in the west of Scotland then moved to the south of England after graduating from university, living first in London before moving to the sanity of Brighton.
Having forsaken the stress of working in London’s finance sector to become a full time author, Jack now spends much of his time on the small Mediterranean island of Gozo where he lives with his partner.
Jack also writes under the pen names:

Fergie Boy
Jack’s early erotica works were produced for a web site called Gay Boy Books, where he wrote under the name Fergie Boy. Subsequently this material was brought under the Firm Hand Books banner and is now available through the same channels as Jack’s later work. The stories are highly erotic but not specifically BDSM in nature – although in certain books like ‘Preparing the Way’ and ‘Spanked at Last’ the evolution into Jack Brighton can be seen. Fans of Jack’s work might find it interesting to see where he has his literary roots by checking out some of the Fergie Boy books.
Jack no longer writes under the Fergie Boy name. However, he does write under...

Tom Farrell
Having published over twenty books by mid 2011, and created a strong niche in the gay BDSM market, Jack decided to expand his reach once again. Not wishing to dilute the Jack Brighton body of work and perhaps confuse his loyal readers, or re-invoke Fergie Boy, a new pen name was created to write under. This was Tom Farrell.
Under the banner 'Flaming Hot', Tom Farrell's books fall into two categories: 'Flaming Hot Gay Erotica' and 'Flaming Hot Gay BDSM'. The distinction is hopefully very clear. Both collections are softer than Jack Brighton's normal work - the 'Erotica' collection much more so. But it is still Jack Brighton - his ideas and his style. So if you like Jack's books then why not check some of Tom Farrell's work out.

A cardboard cutout of a book with flat, one dimensional characters. After a 10 page (clicks on the Kindle),repetitive description of one single fuck near the end of the book, one character says, "...We hardly know each other!". Right, and that's the problem, neither does the reader. Who are these guys and where did they come from? A better question might be, how can a writer of this type of fiction expect a reader to find anything sexual about characters who have no character? Human beings make sex, get it? Unfortunately, there's not a single one in sight. There is brilliant dialogue, however. During the interminable final fuck, lines like these appear every few paragraphs: "Shit! Oh fuck! Fuck!" Garath moaned as Ralph humped him harder and harder. "Thank you! Oh God! OH! OH! OHHHH! Thank you!", only to be followed by, "Ohhhh! Ohhhh! Oh Fuck! Yeah! Yeah! Yeahhhhh!" Gareth howled. [sic]

On the positive side, it is blissfully short, thus 2 stars instead of one.

This is pure BDSM Erotica. There isn't a back story on either young college student, Gareth, and the photographer, Ralph. This is not a love story. There is lust and infatuation but nothing more and nothing else promised.

That being said,

Fan-damn-tastic cover!!! Read this quite a while ago but STILL remember the skill he wrote with-- and I do love a man with his gums flappin'!

Protagonist went to the produce sect., checking out the beef on display at the local market and spies this other guy. They share words (VERY cloak & dagger stuff!) and they go to his studio (I know: Really?? But turns out to be true. Colour me 50 Shades of Embarassed!) Blah, blah, "get naked", your normal porno stuff-- but tastefully done, mind you, as I compare the Prot./story to a not-quite Anais Nin from Delta of Venus.

Sorry to ramble: high on prescription drugs right now. BYE!

Who knows if three get involved or just these two? No clue from my end.

I loved this one. A hot story of a photographer who takes his job as an opportunity to ask for sexy but sometime a little humiliating poses and get hot shots.

Brighton's talent as a writer makes you see and feel what is happening.

This was a quick read with quite a few editing errors. Things were repetitious at times which got a bit annoying and seemed to stall the story here and there. Gareth's immediate obsession seemed a little odd, but there were a few hot scenes.

This is one of my favorites of Jack's books. It has a plot, the sex is integral to the story and it tugs at the heart strings.

A hot, fun, sexy story. Some coarse language that took me a bit to get used to but it was just part of the character and the author's style. Different - not bad at all, just different.
