التغيير بات حاجة ضرورية في عصرنا الحديث، وليس فقط بالنسبة للمؤسسات والشركات، بل حتى على صعيد الأشخاص والمجتمعات. وتظهر الحاجة للتغيير في حالتين، عند ظهور فرصة متاحة، أو عند ظهور مشكلة. وبديهي أن الحالة الأولى هي الأفضل.
وددت لو أن الكتاب تكلم عم التغيير من الناحية الأكاديمية، فهو لم يزكر ما يعرف بمعادلة غليتشر للتغيير.
