Fifth in the Honor Series. In the chaotic aftermath of 9/11, Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts and her lover, first daughter Blair Powell, must contend with recriminations from within the government and danger from without as they struggle to uncover those who betrayed the nation and nearly claimed Blair’s life.

The hunt for those who betrayed the nation is a very personal quest for Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts because the traitors targeted her lover, first daughter Blair Powell, in a secret assassination attempt. Despite reprisals from within the Justice Department and criticism in the press, Cam is determined to bring those responsible to justice. Her search takes her deep into the shadow worlds of counter-intelligence where even a friend might be a foe. While Cam struggles to uncover the traitor’s trail, Blair wages her own war to prevent the woman she loves from becoming a scapegoat during the chaotic aftermath of 9/11. Not just honor, but their future together, is on the line as Blair and Cam join forces with their loyal friends to strike back at the terrorists.

Another fabulous read. Follow-up on the aftermath of 9/11. We welcomed another couple in this book - one of whom have been hovering around in the last few books. Whether she stayed or otherwise, we’ll know in the next book or so. Not as much action that can keep you at the edge of the chair unlike previous books but nonetheless, still a great read!

I think these get better and better as they go along. And we go from two romances to three! Love that! It's great how they pick up right after the last one ends - no time in between. There was a delicious twist in this one that I didn't remember! Ooooo.... Good stuff. And Abby. *sa-woooon* Having so much fun with these! Very enjoyable.

Wow

This book is tamer than number four, but still very very could. It's also very realistic. Kinda scary too. They say normal people can't understand the minds of terrorists, maybe because we don't plan to kill innocent people for nothing more than an idea. Radclyffe portrays this point exceptionally well. She is truly an amazing and talented author. She seems to be able to undertake delicate and sensitive issues a d present them to you with sound arguments, even though you know these people are fanatics who appear to be insane. Excellent book, excellent reading. You won't be disappointed but you couldn't read this as a stand-alone novel, too many references to previous books in the series. Enjoy!

This fifth book of the 'Honor' series adds nuance, subterfuge, and tension as the follow-up to book four which focused almost exclusively on the people and events in and around the September 11, 2001 disaster. The current story covering the time frame from September 13 through October 1, 2001 is a multilayered enchantment revolving around three couples. It primarily links three very different physical locations interweaving the highly stressful moments within political and military scenes. Almost always at the center of events is Blair, the daughter of the president of the United States. From my perspective, this is a feast for the minds and souls of the readers and I highly recommend it. Remarkably piquant!

Blair Allison Powell is outrageously amusing on occasion and coupling that with her hair-trigger temper that can rock both the people and the places within her proximity, it is a huge underestimation to say she is a handful to deal with thereby making her an extraordinary challenge to protect. She also has the heart and soul of an artist which additionally confounds her lover, friends, and security detail. The one-on-one scenes between Blair and Cam—whether they are locked in a super heated sexual tryst, addressing the sticky intricacies of first and foremost protecting Blair's life, or enveloping the reader inside the astoundingly difficult balance of personal and public events—always stay true to the intensities public and privates lives are facing in the wake of possibly the worst disaster that ever occurred within the borders of the United States. Blair continues to develop before my eyes as a larger than life triumph of the human spirit. Outstandingly passionate!

Cameron Roberts, Cam, is a rather complex intensely self-contained woman. The extraordinarily well planned and executed attempt on Blair's life in conjunction with the devastating assault that played out on 9/11 necessitates Cam be relieved from her position as Blair's chief of security. However, there is a directive from key centers of power that put Cam at the head of a very specialized task force directed to uncover, capture, and possibly eliminate the hidden power centers that coordinated and implemented the assaults carried out on this most recent infamous day. Cam is also unquestionably, completely, and openly in love with Blair. Since same-sex couples were not an acceptable form of union in the day, some discretion needs to be observed. However, I found it marvelously delicious that a prudent form of cover-up is heeded at a more or less minimal level. Flamboyantly savory!

The two additional couples referenced are Paula Stark, new chief of security for Blair Powell and Renée Savard, an FBI operative currently working closely with the secret service forces guarding Blair. This pair made their first appearance in Honor Series 4 and their relationship continues to grow being delightfully intriguing. The new couples introduced within this volume include Dianne Bleeker, longtime close friend to Blair in addition to being Blair's art representative, and the CIA agent Valerie Lawrence, known to Cam previously as Claire. Apparently, Claire working as a highly paid DC call girl was actually functioning undercover for the CIA. Excuse me while I have to say the following, "Oh my god the plot thickens!" These two couples provided some astonishingly complementarily enhancing elements unquestionably really spicing things up. Flabbergasting and exquisite!

I am beginning to understand that each book in this collection may be thoroughly enjoyed on its own, but they absolutely soar when read in sequence. I definitely recommend this book and thoroughly appreciated the previous four installments. Excitingly masterful!

Still frustrated by the use of September 11th to further the plot. Still frustrated with Radclyffe's tendency to write around the action.

Radclyffe is a fantastic writer. It amazes me how she is able to create these webs of a story and have everything weave together so beautifully. Paula becomes Blair’s acting security chief. Cam and a team of Felicia, Renée, and Valerie work to uncover who was behind the attack on Blair. Valerie and Diana fall in love. They find the guy but before they can apprehend the guy Valerie is extracted by her handler and the information she reveals is leaked to help the guy escape.

again, pretty much the same thoughts as the last one. plot felt underbaked and there’s some form of “mystery” that the characters are trying to solve which somehow they solve every book at the 80% mark despite not having done any of the work towards solving the mystery

Fifth of the Honor series.

Assigned to protect her, an attractive Secret Service agent falls for the Presidents equally beautiful daughter. A deep conspiracy to overthrow the government keeps the agent and her detail busy protecting the woman she loves and the President from assassins. The main characters are rich, as are all the secondary characters. There are nine books, this is the fifth, and they are all filled with romance and action.

It’s a great series? Start from the beginning. All nine books are on Audible, the narrator, Abby Craden, is the best I’ve heard, she really brings the story alive. I got them using the Audible Romance subscription.

Thanks to Radclyffe, the author, for a great ride. Enjoy!

Boy this was packed with a lot of action, more agents are injured, and another identity revealed in the secrets surrounding terrorism. Radclyffe allows Diane to fall in love. With these feelings come hurt and confusion. I hope we'll get to see Mac get somewhere with Felicia.

This series is entertaining with romance, love, sex, intrigue, mystery, and characters that for the most part love what they do and just want to be loved. They are not perfect just like people in "real life".

Rating: Hovers around 2.6-ish (rounding up to 3 stars)

Honor Reclaimed is an OK continuation of the series. There is a better balance of dialogue, action, and love scenes compared to book four (Honor Guards). This balance not only makes the story flow but also makes all the relationships (not just Cam and Blair’s) feel more authentic. The return and subsequent disappearance of a certain mysterious supporting character piqued my interest, and I’m curious as to their involvement in book six of the series, Honor Under Siege

Dislike: Renee and Paula’s last names begin with the letter “S.” I had a difficult time keeping up with who was who because the author switched between their first and last names throughout the story. This change could be a possible disadvantage for those who can’t finish the book in one sitting, like me.

The heat and tension is on. It’s getting better and better
1. I am utterly amused at how many times the characters orgasm in the book. I wish reality is as such!
2. My gripe is that Radclyffe tends to clip the ending short. There was so much built up to the finale and the end is just once over in a few. For this It would be the final big battle till the shift in location. That could have been drawn out .

Cam and Blair are such a wonderful couple. A signature of Radclyffe; so much sacrifice and love between the protagonist. Utterly beautiful at this bond

The saga continues

“Then Blair felt it coming, the powerful surge of tenderness and want and need that coalesced in her heart and body to become love and something far greater than she could define with words or contain with mere flesh.”

“She would die for his daughter, not out of duty, but out of love.”

An intriguing series continues with another good, entertaining story with interesting characters & hot sex scenes extremely well written… What's gonna come next?

I am impressed and intrigued with Clair/Valerie, talk about a chameleon. Although, I will say, I like her and Diane together and do believe there is a future for them. Also, can I say how much I continue to like Stark :-)

lol, Blair is showing Cam who's the boss around the relationship and I love every bit of it! :-)

Another book with outstanding storytelling from Radclyffe in the Honor Series. Not as intense as the last one but it continues where book 4 ended, starting with another surprise I didn’t see coming.Radclyffe deserves an award for this series, it continues to keep me on my toes and very entertained.Love seeing the characters develop from book to book.
Audiobook: Abby Craden great as always.

A little too much. I enjoyed the aspect of having two relationships in the previous novel, but now with the added romance between Diane and Valerie, things just seemed a little muddled. The story line was still good, and I always enjoy the romantic banter between Cam and Blair.

Intrigue and danger still stalk the various lovers in this book!!

Cam & Blair try to control the daily flow of their lives but there's too much fallout from 9/11 to allow that!!

It's always the same in all his books, the only thing that changes is the name of the character, is completely predictable (And I'm going to do the same with my reviews)
