A search for two missing teenage girls brings Duncan Wyeth and Jeremy Hughes to the streets of Los Angeles, where they find themselves searching through an underworld of hopelessness, exploitation, addiction, and violence
If you care about v child sex trafficking, read this! I love books by T David Bunn. It broke my heart to read this story. We need to take a stand against this!
Quite a read, and not light reading - and so close to the truth that one has to wonder why we've allowed our children to suffer against this sludge, pornography.
This book was very different from what I am used to reading. Normally, I enjoy stories that have a straightforward plot and easy-to-follow characters, but this one seemed too long and repetitive for my taste. It wasn't repeating the same events—but, it kept going back and forth between different characters who were in various locations. Because of the constantly shifting focus, it became hard for me to concentrate on the story and to keep track of everything that was happening. On top of all this, there wasn't much action that I would call exciting. This book felt more like it was dragging on, and to be honest, I found it somewhat boring. Even though I struggled to stay interested, there were still some parts of the story that were interesting and caught my attention. I would recommend this book to readers who are in their mid-teens and older, as it touches on mature topics that are not suitable for younger readers. It also seems to be aimed at those who have a particular interest in mystery and politics. If you enjoy stories that explore these themes and are okay with a more complex narrative style, then this book might be for you. Just keep in mind that it may require some patience as you navigate through the different characters and their stories. Overall, it's a unique read, and it is not for everyone.
