Paranormal Pleasures is an eclectic collection of erotic paranormal romance short stories written by Roxanne Rhoads that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I kept the book close over a period of about seven days and read a story or two almost every day. I especially liked that I could distract myself for five or ten minutes at a time – refreshing little breaks during otherwise rather mundane days.
This ten-story anthology is brimming with exquisitely explicit sexual liaisons that always involve at least one paranormal participant. Not suitable for underage readers or for adults who prefer non-adventuresome, vanilla-flavored romance; the scenes in some of the stories occasionally push the envelope between tasteful and a kind of kinky fantasy. In some of the stories , multiple parties participated in the sexual shenanigans. None of the stories, in my opinion, however, were without an intriguing storyline and sound basis for romance. The sex, while HOT and explicit, was described lyrically. These stories showcase Ms Rhoads talent for creating tightly structured short stories with fleshed-out characters the reader can care about and feel empathy for. My favorites were Renata, A Questioning Concubine, and A Halloween to Remember. Which one will become your favorite?

Scorching HOT! What a fantastic read!
By combining all the short erotic tales into one book, the outcome has turned it into one scorching hot read; I mean get out the ice cubes or take a cold shower. My sexual mind sensory circuits went into sensory overload. I definitely will be reading more of this authors work.

I had a lot of fun reading this collection of erotic short stories. Roxanne Rhodes pulls together a delicious, delightful and sometimes devious anthology of paranormal encounters that range from vampires to demons to witches to ghosts and from one on one encounters to multiple partners. Pick your poison because there is something here for everyone!

Very hot! A mixture of everything. Some menage, even girl on girl. You get a little bit of a story between all the sex in all the stories, but it is pretty much pure sex. Not a bad thing when it is this hot!

Paranormal Pleasures by Roxanne Rhoads is a erotic collection of wicked supernatural tidbits that will have your blood boiling. In a world where nothing is taboo, this anthology has a little something for everyone and is definitely not for the faint of heart!
Since all of these nibbles are so small it seems impossible to actually rate and review them properly thus I will do it as a whole. They are all well written with some being a bit more stiff --no pun intended-- in terms of writing style then others. There is also a bit of a crassness about them that isn't off putting, but there seems to be little artistry to the sex scenes unlike most of the erotica that I've read. In some ways this is refreshing, but definitely made me span out my reading a bit, which was perfect considering the shortness of the stories. Also, I would have liked to see a bit more storytelling and character development. I know these are shorts, but some characters I would have loved to see more of, as well as some of the worlds. I definitely mourned a bit on the loss of a plot a few times where plots where mentioned that seemed intriguing but ended up taking a back seat to sex and then disappeared all together.
But, as these tales are so short, this definitely makes for the perfect quick read before playtime, erm, bedtime, with short tales of lust and desire. With creatures ranging from just about every kind of supernatural creature, no two stories are alike and each vary in their level of heat with some being beyond mind numbingly hot and other being simply scathing, exactly as advertised.
In the end, it was a good read that definitely kept ones interest piqued with ten scandalous and scintillating tales steeped in the supernatural. It's an easy read perfect for those nights when you want to give in to lust and wickedly enticing!

If your after some Paranormal Pleasures, this e read filled with ten sexy and sensual and erotic reads is for you.. Heat factor in most is definetly scorching. Ten stories, all involving different storylines and characters, Im sure will douse your Erotic curiousity for both parnanormal aspects and Seduction at its finest. The darkness of night brings forth the heat in this collection of 8 previously released and 2 newly written stories featuring the steamy side of life. From witches to demons to vampires, the heat is on and no one is safe from its power.
This is an anthology that is a very sexy and scorching read perfect for a blazing summer day, or a cold winter's night. The vast array of paranormal creatures add to the intensity of each story and put a unique spin to each interlude. The groupings of lovers in each story are also varied with m/f/m, m/f/f, f/f, and m/f with each one being as exciting as the last. Each story flowed nicely into the next and was just the right length with each individual story feeling like a wonderful dream.
With this kind of anthology backstory isn't what's important, action is. Some of the stories give a bit of background, but mostly we jump right into the action which fit my mood perfectly. The female characters throughout the collection were strong and very likable with the men being strong and sexy. The storylines were equally varied with some being standard and some being erotically unique. Amongst all the stories my favorites were Overkill (where romantic misunderstandings lead to humor for a vampire and his bloodthirsty girlfriend) and Witching You a Merry Christmas (where longtime friends finally take the plunge after a nightmarish event).
There wasn't one bad story in this collection. Each one was sexy and entertaining and perfect as a pick me up whenever I needed one. I highly recommend this not only to fans of the paranormal who like a bit of sizzle to their story but also those needing a little zing to their day. With this anthology of short stories less is definitely more.

The ten stories in this book were Scorching HOT, the detail was fantastic, The characters in each short story, were detailed early in each story, you knew them, felt like you had known them a while, just wish the stories were not so short, would love to read how some of them turned out in the end of the complete story, Would definitely recommend this book to all ladies and maybe some men, (could use use moves from the book lol) x
