This is the dark and twisted story of Elesin Vollan a pop star who is haunted by the demons of his brutal childhood. The sexual, physical and emotional abuse dealt out by his uncle and other members of his family could have crippled him, but instead he turned to sex and drugs to deal and mask the pain. Through his journey he finds friends, lovers, and family who help him to find himself and his strength to confront the past.

RS Kee has create a deeply flawed man who the reader will just want to shake to his senses. At the same time he is endearing and vulnerable enough to keep you intrigued and engaged.

Overall the book is well written but suffers from poor editing. You will find yourself wanting to pull out a red pen and make corrections after a while. If you can get past this the book is worth reading. While it is not a cheerful easy read and at times is very uncomfortable the story is compelling. It is like watching a train wreck, you want to look away and can't.
