A pretty big diss appointment right here. I did not feel the book has lived up at ALL to the title it is claiming.

I was going to work a bit on my professional development and learning how to apply communication theory sounded great.

What this book gave me instead is a compilation of probably every communication theory in existence that is ever been though of by anyone in the world. Just about 30 theories covered in the mere 220 pages with exactly 11 Real World professional scenarios of communication problems at work.

What is extra frustrating is that in the beginning they claim to not be intimidated by the word theory, and imply hat even though it might sound scholastic, they really are fun.

They are not.

In professional life I need examples of description of different leaders trying various approaches to fix a multitude of communicational gaps.
I do not need a compilation of theories and what they are called.

A let down to say the least.
I guess not every book could be expected to be a good one.

If I were you, I'd stay away from this boredom.
