Good and informative. I gave it only three stars because it was a bit repetitious.

The author does not seem to have taken the time to research more about the parties mentioned in the book. The viewpoint he presents that Iran wants destruction and chaos to run rampant so that the Messiah may reappear is a view held by a minuscule minority of Muslims. He seems to play into conservative stereotypes and misconceptions about the Shia and this is his undoing.

As it has become obvious today, the state sponsors and those who propped up the movements which became the Taliban and Al-Qaeda were the US and its allies. These groups vehemently oppose Iran and blindly kill any Shia they come across. Iran is a nation of Shias where the government is democratically elected. To say Iran would support its own murderers is pure fantasy.

A really decent book on the topic of Iran's obssession with getting the nuclear bomb. The messianic outlook of the Iranian viewpoint makes any talks on the issue truly out of the question. They will not back down and considering this books was written a few years ago and Iran is still at its tricks it is verifcation yet again of their deceitful manner. The only way to solve this is military action and the book does analyze outcomes of such an action. Worth reading to get oneself up to speed on events in the news even as I write this.

the book is a bit outdated but gives insight into the political/religious mindset and the role of the Madhi.
