USA Today Bestselling author, Shelley lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and a rambunctious puppy.

Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak - big overseas experience). A year long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on white sandy beaches in India, whale watching in Alaska, searching for leprechauns in Ireland, and dealing with ghosts in an English pub.

While travel is still a big attraction, these days Shelley is most likely found in front of her computer following another love - that of writing stories of romance and adventure. Other interests include watching rugby and rugby league (strictly for research purposes), being walked by the dog, and curling up with a good book.

She has purchased the garage in town and Joe is drawn to her. A hurting twin. A deal. Sealed with a kiss. A spanking. The truth comes out. A friends with benefits agreement. Getting on. Visitors. overbearing brothers. Romance. A bath. A deal. Freedom. A mating. Jealousy. Envy. Double trouble. A joining of three. What an amazing story of the love between twins and a very beautiful woman.

The tragedy of betrayal taints a beautiful relationship and love’s power is the only thing that can heal the pain while bringing promises of a new and better future. But first all the players need to be on the same page and that’s a bit difficult for the characters in this story. I had such a good time reading Twin Trouble because of the emotions that Ms. Munro tapped into.

This story is book eleven in the Middlemarch Mates series and brings the twins, Joe and Sly, to a crossroads in their lives. In the beginning, I thought them pretty carefree and frivolous. Certainly they were known for their silly antics and practical jokes, although well meaning, from previous books in the series. This time the spotlight is on them and their characters grow and mature before my eyes. It’s a bittersweet change because it comes on the heels of a shocking development. What happens created a disturbing domino effect and I wasn’t sure what could possibly help them. Certainly their older brother was powerless to do anything and that’s quite a switch.

Then there is the heroine, Kiera. She’s the newcomer on the block and she has her own problems. She’s unique in her viewpoints, her occupation and her pragmatic outlook on life. She knows what she needs to thwart her older brother’s plans for her and probably never in a million years guessed what that one statement, “I need a man” would eventually lead her to. It leads to a lot of fun which shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans of this series.

Let me assure readers that this story is definitely a standalone book. Any necessary background was provided through the characters simply leading their lives and interacting with their friends and family. Once Kiera is behind doors at Joe’s house, this book zeroes in on Joe, Kiera and Sly and how they make it all work.

There are two levels of conflict going on. One is internal and deals with meshing the relationships between all three of the protagonists. The second is the external conflict which comes from Kiera’s brother and this other guy who, as far as I’m concerned, is a villain. Initially I was led to believe he’d take the hint and that’d be that, but his actions afterwards solidly placed him in the bad guy box and he never left. How in the world he thought she’d take him seriously is beyond me. The jerk was deluded. The heroine couldn’t have had two more perfect champions than Joe and Sly at her side and I really liked how they respected her enough to let her deal with things her own way but had her back if and when she needed it.

It was great seeing some of my favorite people again and the sense of community is alive and well in this tale. Another thing that continues to be a strong draw is Ms. Munro’s ability to combine sensitive emotions with white hot and kinky doings in the house. Notice I didn’t say the bedroom. Joe and Sly can’t be considered vanilla in any aspect and readers are in for a wild ride anywhere the whim takes those two guys. The only thing that I questioned was Joe’s initial foray into sex play with Kiera. His particular choice was a bit too fast for my tastes and I would think that more trust needs to be earned before a person to be comfortable with that. I can’t imagine having that sprung on me without a knee jerk reaction of wanting to retaliate. Then again, turnabout is fair play and could be fun, right?

Twin Trouble is no trouble to read at all. I found time zipping by at a quick pace because it was well written and entertaining not to mention blush inducing. I liked how Ms. Munro had them working out their differences. I enjoyed watching them fall in love. It wasn’t a fast event because they refused to label it love initially, but when they finally figured out they had the real thing and that dreams do come true, it was beautiful. Read it and see.

Kiera Pascoe needs a man. Her brothers are on their way to her home in New Zealand to bring her back home to England, and she does not want to go.

Joe Mitchell misses his twin brother Sly immensely. While they have always had a special bond, now that Sly has been incarcerated from false charges he has shut himself off from Joe.

Sly Mitchell knows that it hurts Joe that he no longer connects mentally with his twin brother, but he does not want him to see what he is going through while in the prison. He can feel when his brother meets Kiera and he finds himself jealous of their feelings for one another as he cannot be there to share in their relationship.

Kiera and Joe start having a relationship based on pure sex and to help spread his scent around her body and his apartment, as it will help convince her shifter brothers that she is in a serious relationship. Neither expects to fall in love, and when Sly comes home after an unexpected twist, the lovers do not know how to deal with him. Do they try and include him in their relationship as a third member, or continue on the path they have been taking since they started sleeping together? Will they be able to figure out their complicated relationship, save Kiera from her meddling brothers, and keep Sly out of the clutches of the woman who sent him to prison in the first place?

Twin Trouble is a complex tale full of heartache, loving moments, and danger. Ms. Munro not only gives us a novel full of extreme heat, but this also happens to be a story that is so engrossing that you will not hear the phone ring. The complications between Kiera and Joe are intense and when Sly is added to the mix, it makes the storyline explode with an intensity that leaves you reeling. I love how the novel includes the many different feelings and elements that each of the major characters are feeling as it gives the reader the feeling of being right in the story. This is one outstanding novel that will have you wishing you could pack your bags and move to this enticing town yourself!

Unlike the other menages in this series this is mfm.

This starts of with a call back to the very first book and Maggie, Emily's former sister-in-law is getting engaged. Sly takes Joe along to woo her back.

The fiance arrives with the cops while Joe is out and accuses Sly of kidnapping and rape. Maggie goes along with because she's a total cow.

Most of the tension comes from the strain of Joe and Sly's separation and Sly's eventual re-integration to Joe's life where he has gotten involved with Kiera. The rest of it is from Kiera's oldest brother Matthew he's gotten waay into debt gambling and basically organised to marry her off to cover the debts.

Very well written and leaves the option for the series to continue with the other (non-jerky) brothers to have stories as they move to Middlemarch.

HOT! Make that Double Hot with whipped cream! The whole book is a well written emotional rollercoaster that will make your toes curl. The cover art made me chose to read the story and I didn’t realize it was part of a series until I was done so it can definitely be a stand-alone book, but now that I know it is a series, I am putting the whole series on my to-read list. I fell in love with the characters as they fell in love with each other and I look forward to back tracking and learning more about the background of the whole Middlemarch group. Beware this is Erotica with a lot of sexual scenes and crude language.

As a longtime fan of this series, it's about time Sly & Joe got their own story! This is the book I've been waiting for. As with all Middlemarch stories the various local characters make an appearance which helps me to continue to feel the community of these stories. This introduces a new character, Keira, as being a new business owner. If you've read the short story between My Blue Lady and this then you have an idea of where the characters are at the beginning. A great story that took me from sadness right through to happiness.

Twinning

I couldn’t wait to see how this author handle my favorite Mitchell brothers— twins Sly and Joe. With Sly being falsely accused and going to jail in the last book, I know getting him a HEA would be a challenge. It was also obvious that with the connection between the twins Joe would also be going through difficulties. This was a great read, with a wonderful resolution.

Trouble comes calling

The twins story has happened, they were the mischievous ones of the family. Tragedy struck when Sly was wrongly imprisoned and the boys both suffered from it. There is heartache and happiness in this story, Sly cut himself off from everyone and the hurt comes through in the telling. Kiera and her deal come at the right time, helping Joe stay sane.
