Thank goodness for reads like this that give insight into important people throughout history who we may not have heard about. Sadly many of the people who were most intriguing to me I was unable to find more material on at the library. We need more authors focusing on individuals such as these than writing another biography on the latest pop star.

There is a good variety of people bio'd here. Two caveats: this is a book for children and is visually outdated; also, it is NOT EDITED! e.g. pg 1, Henry VIII was in the Plantagenet era... Aside from errors, the lack of editing makes a difficult to read and process. May not finish it and just skim the names and pictures :S

I had to read this for work...the grade level's lower than my norm, but it has some interesting bios in it. (Like Goya the artist. Who knew?) Cute if you *really* want to learn about some famous folks in D/deaf history...but there's a little too much conjecture for my taste.
