This delves a little further into the rabbit hole than I wanted to go.

Excellent survey of the subject, well designed & researched. I was overjoyed to replace my copy last year. It's best feature is that isn't geared towards any specific deck. Each meanings page has a blank card-sized box on which you lay your card to associate the printed meanings & explanations with the image of YOUR deck. To this day I use this book whenever I am "breaking in" a new deck.

Only read the first section but I’m counting it because I got what I wanted out of it.
