This is the first book I’ve read from Fiona, but it won’t be my last. It was a sweet small town novella, and I enjoyed every character.
Olivia is a corporate attorney living in the big city. She heads back home to her small town for two reasons: a break from her cheating ex and her best friend’s wedding. Poor Olivia hardly has time to come to terms with her ex and all that situation entails because she’s thrust into saving her BFF’s wedding… with her BFF’s brother, Joe… with whom she shared some hot and heavy nights ten years ago.
The chemistry between Joe and Olivia is off the charts and evident from the first scene they’re in together. Joe hasn’t fully gotten over Olivia leaving town a decade earlier without so much as a goodbye. He knows she’s heading back to the city when the wedding is over, but decides he can handle being with her until then; no strings attached.
Going back home becomes more than a break for Olivia. It becomes an awakening. She is forced to decide to between her current life and re-evaluating what’s most important. She learns to follow her heart.
I think spice ratings are always subjective, but this was 2.5/5 🌶️ for me. The spice is sweet, the chemistry is sizzling. And honey has never been so freaking sexy.
Olivia, now a corporate attorney in the city, is coming back to her home town to help organize her friend’s wedding that had been moved up from the original date. Ten years previously, she and her friend’s brother, Joe Donavan, had been hot and heavy with each other. Then, without even a goodbye, Olivia disappeared from Joe’s life. Because it is his sister getting married, both he and Olivia will definitely be seeing each other again and old feelings will heat up. Will Olivia reconsider going back to the city? Has she found what she needs right here in her home town? Will Joe feel the same?
This is a good story line offering a second chance to two people who seem to belong together. What will the two of them decide?
Olivia is in town for her best friend's wedding and to take a break from her life in the city. However, this has her facing her best friend's brother Joe and what happened between them. Will Olivia see that coming back to her hometown is the best choice for her? Can they move on from their past together?
This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

What you really shouldn't do in a friendship is falling in love with your best friend's brother, but that doesn't apply to main characters. Joe and Olivia meet again at a wedding when his sister is getting married who is also Olivia's best friend and she is also present at the wedding. After she left Joe and town years ago without a word and hurt him and now they see each other. Will they be able to put an end to the past and make amends and take a second chance at happiness together or has too much happened and Joe won't dare to gamble with his heart and stick with the wedding?

Aww, dreamworthy ending... The story has been covered in the blurb & prior reviews so I won't go there. What I can say is that it was a great page turner, I got deeply invested in the main characters & the best part was saved for last...swoon! Really enjoying this author's work. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I love second chance stories. Joe and Olivia's story was no exception. They're connection was real and written very well. It's a little shorter than some other books I've read, but it totally works for the plot and timeline of events. Their chemistry is great, and it's too over the top. The secondary characters are good too. Good read!
I enjoyed Joe & Olivia’s book. Olivia always regretted their past. And deceiving her best friend. Now her wedding plans are in tatters and I has no choice. It’s me, him, and one hellish week to create her big day from scratch. An entertaining read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
