The Brain Behind It All: How I Learned to Live My Life

Rate this book
I had a well paid job as a journalist. However, I decided to walk away from it knowing I would take a huge risk. I was in fear and pain, but at the same time everything felt really good. How could that be possible?

When I later in life started to work with teenagers I noticed the same contradiction when school ended for the summer. Many of the students got depressed even though they were supposed to be happy. Why?

I started to look for self-healing answers to these and many other questions in my life, and ended up falling in love with the brain. The brain always loves you back - if you know how to handle it and this makes everything even more interesting.

This is a book for everyone. You don't have to know research about behavioral science or mental psychology in advance. I am sure you will have great fun reading it and as a result get a more interesting life with inspiration and knowledge of how your brain actually works.

Do you know how your brain works? What does it need to feel good, so that you also feel good? This book gives you the knowledge behind self-help books and fiction opinions. Knowledge with a direct connection to everyday behavior, emotions and experiences.

After all, the brain is the most important part of the body. Without it – nothing is the same. When we get to know the brain we also get to understand why we react as we do in different situations. Why we sometimes end up in conflict with others. Why we sometimes feel unjustifiably sad or elated. Why physical contact can feel both right and wrong. Why we rarely dare to take the leap into the unknown - and sometimes still do.

To learn more about the brain and mind is sure to be fun, useful, and exciting. So that life can be a little easier and more comprehensible. We pay close attention to the rest of the body - food, exercise, health… But for most people, the brain is an unknown universe.

With this book you will get to know your brain a bit more comprehensively with real life examples and humorous stories demonstrating the versatility of our thoughts, communication and actions.
