I have maybe a hundred astrology books, and this is the one I turn to most. One thing I've learned is that most clients want answers to specific questions. Will they get the job, get the guy, and so on. Natal astrology, transits, etc., are almost useless in answering these types of questions, as there is just too much information in a natal chart, a lifetimes' worth, actually.

Frawley, an excellent teacher, shows you how to use the simple horary astrology technique to answer these questions and others. I use it often, and it's remarkably accurate.

If anything, I wish he'd do a sequel dealing with more types of questions. For instance, just the other day someone asked me if his ex-employee was out to get him. I know how to identify his employees in the chart, but not ex-employees. So there is room for another volume.

All in all, though, this is a fabulous piece of work!

One of the best books, when it comes to Horary Astrology, written by one of the best horary astrologers of our time!
When I first started this book, I had a flimsy understanding of many Astrological principles, just enough to understand this book, but at the end of the book, I felt that my level in astrology as a field has greatly improved.
Compared to other horary astrologers, John Frawley has a very researched approach when it comes to horary astrology. For example, he barely uses the considerations before judgment and encourages you to do the same; he says this because of the research and time he spent looking at these considerations that for our modern age do not apply.
The book is also very entertaining to go through; John Frawley has a wry sense of humor that he uses to debunk and explain certain astrological principles.

Although it focuses on Horary, Frawley has taught me the astrological knowledge at its best—infinite in its potential! His witty tone made the reading more engaging, and the use of metaphor, which is a must for astrologers, creates a literary work. I can’t recommend enough to learn the foundations of (the real) astrology!

An excellent Text book for anyone studying Ancient Horary Astrology.

I am currently studying Ancient Horary Astrology and with a background in Ancient Astrology, it is an easy to follow book to help me understand in detail how to cast and read a Horary Chart.
I dip into this book most days to help me with my studies.
