Gerhard Konzelmann

German journalist.

Konzelmann was the middle eastern correspondent for the German state channel ARD.

In 1977 he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his coverage of the Lebanese civil war.

In 1990 he was accused of plagiarism by middle east expert Gernot Rotter who also exposed the fact that Konzelmann couldn't speak Arabic.

Besides writing non-fiction Konzelmann also wrote operas.

An excellent historical novel of the oil producing countries in the Middle East. The author presents the events, the plots and the strategies leading up to the Invasion of Iraq. The truth of what happened is finally being told. I recommend this book to anyone interesting in learning the facts.
