She was all set for a career in the literary arts, to begin in that far off misty future after kindergarten — then she discovered a book about “the new math” on the coffee table, and fell in love with numbers instead. After getting a degree in math followed by a masters degree in artificial intelligence, she joined IBM and devoted herself to doing neat things with computers, all the time continuing to write stories as a way of balancing so much logical brain activity.
She is the author of over a dozen novels and novellas spanning the genres of fantasy, science fiction, and romance. (She’s either a unique individual who is difficult to categorize, or easily bored – you decide.) Beyond that, there’s no point describing her hobbies or activities, since they’ll have changed by the time you read this. (Score one for “easily bored”.) She recently relocated to Colorado, to play the lead role in her very own love story, thankfully with fewer explosions, occult happenings, and dire situations than in her fiction. This is an exciting, sexy trio of stories with hot, dominant men and lots of steam. You won't be disappointed.
That said, the first story by Jennifer Dunne was my least favorite. It started off well but got bogged down in business talk. The heroine was an efficiency expert, some background was nice but just too many pages were given over to discussion of business strategy. The sex scenes didn't quite do it for me either: hot wax and being wrapped in plastic like a leftover sandwich - so not my thing. 3 stars
The next story by Madeline Oh was livelier. Lots of sexual tension and build-up, until both the heroine and I wanted to strangle the hero and tell him to get on with it already. But when Jud finally shows up in a pirate costume and "captures" his helpless "maiden", yowza! Let's just say that Black Jack and Lady Katherine have a rip-roaring good time. Their antics left a huge grin on my face. Nice spanking too! 5 stars
The final story by Dominique Adair may be my favorite. I loved the Cajun setting and the Cajun hero. David saw what he wanted and went after it, er ... her. Nice spanking scene here too! This story is quite a bit shorter than the others and I wished it had been longer. 5 stars
