Without giving away too much, the title pretty much says it all. ~grin~

This story is short in length, but certainly not short in action or romance. Hot and steamy in several places (even hotter and steamier than both previous stories, actually) – intended for mature readers only.

This story is preceded by both Claiming Celeste and Hunting Celeste in the Celeste Nites series. There is also a compilation of the three stories in a book that is, naturally, titled Celeste Nites.

I actually found this series while I was checking out the author’s Nightwolves series. The Nightwolves books are in my wish list for near future purchase - but at this great price, I just had to go ahead and snatch up the 3 stories in the Celeste Nites series and start reading them.

I am tempted to remove this book from my vampire shelf. I've read the first three books and they don't have alot of "vampire" storyline.

Having said that, I think this series might be building up to something interesting. Celeste is being stalked by Henry who wants her to turn him. He keeps killing her lovers, friends and anyone close to her. Henry started off nice and turned obsessive and crazy. I am confused...she also mentions a guy who is pursuing her for hundreds of years? Did I read that right?

Book 1 - Anyway Jacques has dreams about her and sets off to seduce her...every time he thinks he has her in his grasp...poof she disappears. She is a dancer and he starts turning up to see his "Tiny Dancer" each night. He dances with her and knows she wants him....but she always pushes him away. He is becoming obsessed with her.

Book two - Jacques and brother Armand go off and look for her. Armand wants Celeste too since he saw his brother "intimately" involved with her. Actually, he watched. Jacques is tempted to let Armand have Celeste but says no. You can see where this is going. (by the way...there are other brothers in this family besides these two.)

Book Three - Okay...once again Celeste has escaped leaving a note...the brothers catch up to her, want to protect her, and - of course, have great menage sex. Actually, everyone has the sex of their lives and Jacques even starts questioning if he has "found his mate." Oh did I mention she left another note and skipped town? Trying, once again to protect these humans from Henry. Jacques decides it is time to see what is going on in her life.

I can't shake the feeling that I am reading parts of one book instead of installments. I wish that the author had just written one book and let us have it. It is not as if we finish one installment and something is resolved...the only thing that happens is some good, fun sex and then Celeste is gone with a note left behind.

This could be much better and still might lead up to something interesting. I just hope I am not reading into this too much - or seeing more than the author is capable of delivering. I conservatively give it two stars and will wait to see if I upgrade this later.
