The author addresses the question: How do I know if I am saved?

Using scripture, he says the answer is:
Good trees bear good fruit.

Spring describes fruits which are no sure indication of salvation and those fruit which are sure evidences of being a true Christian.

I happened on this book by mistake and it is one of the most important books I've ever read in my life. It's amazing that some Christian intellectual in 1829 wrote such an influential book for some African woman almost 193 years later. The time space continuum theorists should ponder over that. I am humbled to see such simple, decisive, articulation of God and the Christian. I have to get more material like this

Beautifully written, this short volume is eminently scriptural, doctrinal, and practical. It is especially useful for self-examination and correction/growth in godliness. It is a shame that it has been out of print for so long.

A wonderful little book that packs far more depth than anticipated. Simple in its approach, but deep and rich in its applied biblical wisdom. It’s only “misses” are contextual to the authors expected tribe and time, but not enough to dismiss its overall benefit.

A serious and searching look at true faith vs false faith. Real grace vs imagined grace. Heart religion vs merely formal religion.
