SUSPICION, Book Nine in the Witches of Santa Anna series of novellas....
In Season One of The Witches of Santa Anna, Natalia and Cam had to fight to be together.
In Season Two, they'll fight even harder not to lose each other.
With Raine gone, Cam and Natalia believe the worst is behind them. But Raine's left a trail of collateral damage in her wake.
Cam's starting to realize that he can't protect Natalia from the forces out to take her from him. And Natalia still can't figure out who to trust.
Everyone at Santa Anna is on edge, wondering when Raine's going to come back.
Because the thing about Raine? She doesn't give up that easily. She has friends. Powerful friends. Friends that want to make sure Cam and Natalia don't stay together.
And in the end, Cam and Natalia will be forced to battle something more powerful than they ever imagined.
Alliances will be broken. Bonds will be tested. Questions will be answered. And you won't believe how it all turns out.
With new characters, new dangers, and new secrets, Season Two of the Witches of Santa Anna proves that true love conquers all and that nothing; not even pure evil can change your destiny....
This episode left me feeling rather bored, I can see things moving forward and there are still twists and turns, but I'm feeling a little deflated with the storyline at the moment, hopefully they will pick back up.
I liked the series, as I said for the others, I didn't read #9, because I thought that .99 cents was too much for a Novella, 2.99 for a Novella is definately too much.
Okay, for the quick obligatory recap. We have Natalia, who is some kind of good witch, who wears a white butterfly necklace and controls your mind in order to prevent evil. We have Cam, her boyfriend, who is the hottest guy at school and who is destined to be with a witch -- but one that is not Natalia. Then there is Raine, Cam's uber-snobby ex-girlfriend, who is an evil witch with a black butterfly, and who seemingly has the ability to make the world break out in war if she doesn't end up with Cam. And we can't forget Brody, Cam's friend who used to be Natalia's almost-boyfriend, except she didn't really like him. And Brody's little sister is all mixed up with Natalia's other ex-boyfriend, who is a creepy stalker who apparently knows everything about all the witches but chooses to disclose very little. Then there's a new girl, Hadley (I think? I forget already?) who has a silver butterfly necklace, and we have no clue what she can do.
So, in this book we learn that Brody is some kind of "peace keeper" -- so whereas Raine's task is to start war, somehow Brody can stop it -- seemingly by making sure Cam and Raine end up together. Then somehow Natalia is told she needs to talk to a woman who lives in a fake ipad and chews her toenails -- then she can get guidance on how to handle the alleged upcoming war.
Oh, and Natalia lies to Cam about going out with a friend, except she's really out with Brody. She's like Bella Swan, except dumber, I think.
So this is the 9th book in the Witches of Santa Anna series. The book picks up right where Denial left us, unsure about the new transfer girl Hadley. When Cam goes by her house to "check things out" he encounters a very strange scene, which becomes even stranger when he notices Hadley through the window wearing silver butterfly necklace!
Things are really hotting up in this book, and there is a lot of new information to take in. Brody knows a lot more than he is letting on, and when he gives Nat this strange ipad looking contraption things get even more confusing. Not only that but it's now time to introduce Nat and Cam's mothers to each other. With the stress of that over their heads, and the new girl, and wondering if Raine will be back any time soon is it any wonder that Nat and Cam are fighting?
I loved this book, I think it may in fact be my favourite out of the entire series so far! Like all the rest, it is extremely short. At this point though, that doesn't bother me any more. I will say however that I cannot believe it ended like that! I am desperate to read the next instalment now, anyone have a release date for the UK yet, lol!
This is a series of 9 short stories or novellas that are only available in ebook form I believe. I’m going to do one review for the series rather than breaking it up per story.
Reading these stories was actually kind of interesting because each almost reads like a chapter in a book. I read all 9 stories in an afternoon. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat reading them but it definitely kept my interest enough for me to read straight through all of them. Each installment had its own twists and turns and I really liked the butterly aspect of each. Suspicion ends with a lot of unanswered questions so I’m thinking the story will go on. I know I will be reading any new novellas that come out!
I also really like some of the covers! I included a couple of my favorites in my blog post
This series of books are really short answer didn't do much for me.... They didn't make much since and they kind of made me bored through out the series
