Fame beckons and Shannon Travers answers, leaving the ones she loves for the bright lights of Paris. Her mother's sudden death forces Shannon to experience the devastation personal loss can bring. She hopes to make amends with her husband, Edison, and their daughter, as well as her former singing partners.
Edison, now town sheriff, loses his memory after being shot and thinks he and Shannon are still married. She enjoys her ex-husband's love until his memory and mistrust return. Will forgiveness seep through the cracks in Edison's heart, or is their love forever doomed?
This was a good story, I enjoyed Shannon Travers and Edison Parks and how their lives and dreams went different directions, but how they came to become a family again after Shannon comes home after her mother passes away and Edison is shot during his patrol. Joan Early is a very talented writer and I look forward to finding more of her books.
