It’s an Immortal War...

Vampires and werewolves have been blood enemies for centuries, but now a new threat is rising...demons are escaping from hell and those demons are intent on wiping out both the vamps and the werewolves.

When you have no one to trust...

In order to stop the demons, pureblood vampire princess Morgan LaBeaux agrees to the treaty offered by werewolf alpha Jace Vaughn. She'll mate with him, share her blood with him...and in return, the wolves will aid the vampires in this battle.

The enemy of my enemy is my husband...

But Morgan doesn’t realize just how dangerous the wolves can truly be. Jace has been waiting years to claim her. He’s set a trap for his princess, and now that he has her, Jace doesn’t plan to let her go. He’ll send the demons back to hell, and he’ll keep his vampiress - forever.

Because the blood binds all.

Warning: This novella is a sexy paranormal romance. As such, it contains vampires, werewolves, and demons - oh, my! It also contains hot sex and adult language. You have been warned!

Re-read: 09.02.2020
The book centers around the pureblood vampire princes Morganna ‘Morgan’ ‘Morg’ LaBeaux (35?) and werewolf alpha Jace Vaughn. Morgan agrees to marry/mate Jace to unite the vampire and werewolves against the demons that are breaching through as doorway they can't find. Both Morgan and Jace has different plans that the other doesn't know, but together they must save their people.

Overall, the book was actually still interesting, though way too short. Then there's the very insta-love aspect that I apparently haven't mentioned in any of my previous reading reviews... Hell, I hadn't even shelved it. That is of course changing now, and I'm also removing the book from the shelves: ‘favorite female character’ ‘favorite male character’ and ‘im in love’. That being said, I still liked it even though I liked it less than I remembered. Maybe if the book was a full length novel with a slow burn, I would've still love it.

But as it is now, the timeline is... what? Four day? Three? It's way too little time to establish a romance in my eyes. Though I apparently didn't feel this before. But yeah, it's still a nice, enjoyable, quick and easy read. Which was what I needed. I still liked the characters, I still liked the story itself and the sex is alright. The book just needed more depth and length for me this time around. This just shows how, as time changes, so do we.

Characters:
Mike, one of Jace's wolves. He hates Jace, and he especially hate vampires.
Louis, Jace's first in command.
Devon Shire (over 500 years old), vampire Council member - the leader.
Paul, a vampire Morgan made 3 years ago - the only human she's changed/turned.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Paranormal Romance (M/F).
Series: - Series, Book One.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Jace Vaughn.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Sure.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure, but I've only read this one.
Will I read this again in the future? - Unsure now.
New Rating - 3.5/3 stars.

First read review:
Wow, "Bound By Blood" by Cynthia Eden was fantastic! I love it! I read it in short hours, and I want more! I loved the characters, the story was great and I loved the sexy hot sex :P This book deserves all full 5 stars! Morgan, vampire princess, was just a perfect princess! She was strong, like really strong. Breaking a demon's neck easily... I'm completely straight, but damn, girl.. that was hot! Hehe. Jace Vaughn, my sexy, hot, werewolf, alpha, damn you man! Way too sexy, and it was a complete turn on reading about the dominance he had! I need more from these characters, but Cynthia haven't written more about them :S I wanna lay down and cry! Please Cynthia, write more about lovely Morgan and Jace!!!! :D

I picked up my kindle to find a short read, so I could just have some reading fun without reviewing it, yeah right LOL. As I looked at my kindle this story popped up, I opened it and sighed thinking I wanted something different. I needed something raw not your normal humorous or lovie dovie paranormal romance never in my wildest dreams did I think this story would give me just what I needed. When I started reading I couldn’t stop. I just wished the story could have gone on and on. I wasn’t planning on writing a review for this story, so this will be short. I just had to let everyone know how great this book was. If you want something wild and raw along with extreme danger, I suggest you try this one now or asap. This is a novella with enough bite in it to keep you going. Now, I need to find more stories like this.

A war was coming. No, it had already started. Vampires versus demons. Demons versus wolves.
The enemy of my enemy...
Is my husband.

A door into hell is open and demons are hunting vamps and shifters, looking to dominate the Earth. Although they've never gotten along, vamps and wolves need to work together to vanquish this new enemy. What better way to strengthen an alliance than to unite the two factions. Vampire Princess Morgan has volunteered herself to mate with the wolf Alpha, Jace. Theirs was an instant kind of connection. Jace knew for years that he belonged with Morgan and that eventually nothing and no one would stand in the way of them being together.

Morgan didn’t fear many things, but every vamp in lower Florida knew it was smart to step cautiously around Jace Vaughn. He hadn’t earned the alpha title by playing nicely.
No, he’d earned it by cutting a bloody path through his rivals and leaving their savaged bodies in his wake.
And I get to marry him?
Some days, a bride was just lucky.

Having her handed to him, to fight with him, to bond with him, was more than he could have ever expected. Bound By Blood was short, incredibly hot, full of action, and you better believe I'll be reading the rest of this series!

This is a stand-alone short story from Cynthia Eden who has some awesome Paranormal Romantic Suspenses out there.

It all started with a vampire princess walking into a werewolf bar.

The vampires and the werewolves have been enemies, but lately demons have been escaping hell and destroying vampires, humans and werewolves alike. The Alpha werewolf Jace demands a pureblood vampire be given to him...as a mate.

The vampire council feels that is acceptable if it ensures the werewolves' loyalty and protection against demons. Enter Morgan. She is kick-ass and feisty and I loved her character.

The sexual tension in this short story is off the charts, and the twists and betrayals that come about at the end made for a great short romantic suspense.

I asked Cynthia Eden and she said that she'd like to eventually write more and make this one a series, but no promises. I'd LOVE that!!!!! Please please make this a series? ::HighlandHussy gives puppy dog eyes::

Final verdict: This short is only 99 cents-go buy it now! It's just a great vampire/werewolf romance.

Her next book Never Cry Wolf from Kensington is due out at the end of June.

I originally read this years ago, before my kindle I actually read it on my phone, I'd downloaded it from some site and while I'd enjoyed it I couldn't remember the title or author so I was excited to find it again.
It's a nice little read, shame it's not longer but what's here is good.
Jace is the pack alpha and he's proposed a truce between the vampires and the werewolves. He'll mate with their pureblood princess Morgan and by exchanging blood together they'll be strong enough to defeat the demons and close the gate from hell that's opened and is threatening everything.
Like I said it's a great little read and it left me wanting more which is always a good sign.
My 3* rating is partly a reflection of the length and because of the length there's not a lot of character development or depth.

This is the first book in a set of 5 novellas about werewolves and vampire mates. Cynthia Eden wove a plot about a vampire mating with a werewolf so they could both benefit from the power boost.

The chemistry between Morgan and Jace was firework material and I liked how they fit each other well. Their interactions were delightful and the twist over how Jace had been waiting all this time to claim her—ooh, la, la, I need me a werewolf alpha like him. *fans self* The pack dynamics added a dose of humor that endeared me to the pack members.

The twist and climax were fantastic, making the plot an interesting read. And the action was fast-paced and entertaining. For a novella, it sure didn’t feel like a short read. It was well-written and I’d totally recommend this.

This is a great little vampire werewolf read. You have a sexy werewolf Alpha, sexy vampiress princess and Demons. Jace is the Alpha werewolf of his pack in Miami. He has been secretly watching Morgan, vampiress princess of Miami for 10 years, only she doesn't know this. He was originally sent to kill her, but instead he decided he wanted her. So it's been 10 years an opportunity has presented itself for Jace to achieve this. Demons have been sent from hell trying to take out all werewolves and vampires. In order for both sides to fight the Demons and win, Jace has presented a solution to the vampire council, let him bond with Morgan a pure blood vampire princess. With this Jace can finally have Morgan and become stronger with her vampire blood.

A very entertaining read for me. It had steamy sex, action and a traitor amongst the vampire race. Jace was very sexy to me, just knowing he has been watching Morgan all those years is a turn on. Morgan, even though she is a vampire and she is strong the author still had Jace be the dominant one so that was good. It's a great short read that was worth the 0.99cent. I only highlighted 1 typo. There may be more, but I got so into the story I didn't notice them. I enjoyed it that much. Yes, there were areas that could have been better. A bit more depth into the bad guy, world build and character build would have been great.

There was a huge amount of action. What we got of the main characters was satisfying. The intimate scenes were hot, steamy and well written. The ending was On Fire intense.
I will definitely be following this series!

The suspense kept me completely involved.

I loved it.

Cynthia Eden. That should say it all! I have yet to read a novel from this fabulous author that I have not loved and Bound by Blood is no exception.

Vampires and Werewolves, enemies for as long as anyone can remember, must now come together to fight a common enemy. Demons are coming into the world, exposing Others to humans and killing indiscriminately. Werewolf alpha Jace Vaughn makes a deal with the vampire council to take a pure blood, Moragn LaBeaux, and vampire princess as mate and bring the two sides together forever and in doing so, combining their forces to put an end to the demon invasion. But each side has secrets that their holding close and their enemies might be closer then they can ever imagine.

Short and succulent; once I started Bound by Blood I couldn’t stop until I hit the last page and then I wanted it to keep going! Cynthia loves her sexy bad boy wolves and thank God for that! Jace Vaughn was pure alpha male and all drool worthy; I loved his strength, determination. Morgan was a kick ass heroine, witty heroine that was a perfect fit for Jace. The relationship progresses at an extremely fast pace with blazing chemistry; she sees him, he sees her and BAM – instant connection. We come to find out though that Jace has been watching Morgan for years, just biding his time until he knew he could have her. Despite the quickness of it though, their relationship didn’t feel rushed and it was incredibly hot and intense.
The plot was full and quick, brimming with action, danger and intrigue including possible enemies’ right in front of you and you won’t even know it. For only $0.99 you can’t NOT get this novel, in fact I’d pay much more for it! Another smash hit from an amazing, must-read paranormal romance author.

"Yeah, princess, but we all know that once you go wolf, you don't go back."

This was a great paranormal story that was packed with action and suspense and steam. But, because it's a paranormal story, I felt like the world building didn't get the attention it deserved. Honestly, I expected that because it's rare that I'm not left wanting after reading a PNR novella. The story (with the exception of the last chapter which has fast forwarded a little in time) is told over the course of one day. They meet, mate, battle and triumph all within a span of maybe 36 hours. That was quick and I wanted more. But the writing was stellar and I'm going to continue on, happily, with this series.

Bound by Blood, hmmmmm. Arranged mating between a vampires princess and an alpha killing machine.
Joining to be united and make themselves stronger against the demon invasion. These two find out they have bitten off more than they can chew in the relationship departments.
I really loved this one. Especially when Jakes reasons and feelings come to light. Although very short, this took me about an hour to read, it was no less satisfying.

I have only recently started reading Cynthia Eden books and find her stories sexy, with a cool paranormal base. Just how I like them :) This one did not deviate from that path, so I enjoyed it very much.

Well, how the hell did I miss this series?!
"Bound by Blood" is the story of Jace and Morgan.
Jace is the werewolf alpha, who has been "guarding" vampire princess Morgan for 10 years, biding his time..
It finally arrives as they discover mutual enemy in demons, and Morgan is coerced to approach Jace to mate- so they can combine their powers..
Both have ulterior motives, but soon are overcome by lust and the game changes.
Short, hot and fast paced, I liked this book. However, this was too small for me as I felt we didnt get to explore the characters much. Id have loved to know more about his stalking, the memories, the bloodlust and more background on the betrayers.
Looking forward to read more.

There is an intense war going on and both sides are losing, the Vampires and the Wolves are being outnumbered by Demons. Some how the door to hell has been opened and the demons are now loose wrecking havoc and death in their wake. It will take the alliance of the Wolves and the Vampires, sworn enemies for centuries to come together to fight side by side. It will be the marriage of the Alpha Wolf and the Vampire Princess but will this be enough.

Morgan LaBeaux is a Pure Blood Vampire Princess, she has made a deal to marry the Alpha Wolf Jace Vaughn, with their marriage and the biting of one another, it will help strengthen both his pack and her lair. Morgan just want to get things over with when she strolled up into the Wolf Bar, the public claiming is how how the Wolves do it. For Jace this is serious and permanent for him, he knew Morgan was his mate many years ago. The former Alpha ordered Jace to kill her which he would have done but his Wolf stood up and said one word "Mine", Jace then turned around and killed his Alpha thus becoming the Alpha now. So for years he watched her and waited and although with the demons wrecking havoc, he knew once he claimed her she would be with him always.

Morgan fell hard for Jace, he was her mate and she would fight hell itself to keep him safe. Unbeknownst to the Vampires and the Wolves, they have been betrayed and it runs deep because the betrayal is from the inside. Now Jace, Morgan, the Wolves and the Vampires must not only find out and catch the betrayer but close the door to hell itself. Not only are they in danger of being wiped out but also humanity itself.

This was a really great book that I enjoyed immensely. Also my first story by author Cynthia Eden and it will not be my last. I love a great paranormal that has everything you need for an excellent story and although this book is less than 100 pages, it is a full story and you will not be disappointed.

I love this book. It's rare when both the hero and the heroine are genuinely equals. This is one of those stories. Vampires and werewolves suddenly find themselves going from enemies to allies, when demons attack. The alliances that occur create some wonderful sexual tension. If you like your paranormal stories gritty, violent and smoking hot, this is the novella for you.

Read this for romance book club.

There are zero leaves in this to make it my cup of tea.

They soul mate by page 5. Vampires and werewolves, just like, in general. Florida. One really weird insertion about having a vampire/werewolf baby that had not come up until that page and never came up again.

I feel bad giving it a star rating when I knew going in I would hate it so out of pity I'm giving it 2 stars.

Demons are attacking the members of paranormal community. Werewoles are managing to protect themselves, but vampires aren't faring that well. So, the alpha of the pack suggest a deal. If a vampire princess mates him that would make both of them stronger and the chance of prevailing in the battle better.

Morgan, the pureblood vampire is the sacrifice, if you can call her that. From the moment she meets her intended she is attracted to him, but there are some secrets she must keep for the good of her race. Of course, murder and mayhem have a way of destroying the best laid plans. Not to mention - love.

A good story, but everything happened way too fast - it would've made an even better novel where more time could be given not only to the relationship between Morgan and Jace, but to the action and the big battle. The twist and turns came too close together, I would have liked to see more of Morgan and Jace in a non life-threatening situation.

I do like both Morgan and Jace, and the chemistry is off the charts.

I really hope Cynthia Eden writes more stories set in this world, hopefully longer ones.

Morgan LeBeaux, the only true Pureblood Vampire anywhere around Miami, thinks she’s making a sacrafice to help save her Vampire brethren ~ the sacrifice being becoming the mate of the Alpha Wolf, Jace Vaughn. She has no idea that Jace asked for the agreement more to get HER, the Vampire Princess, than he did to get the strength he’ll gain from drinking from a pure blood Vamp. Or that she’d fall instantly under his spell…
Fighting Demons that are bent on destroying both Vamps & Wolves so they can have free rein in the world, Jace and Morgan find themselves ready to go to hell to save each other…and their races.
This was a short story that Cynthia Eden self published ~ you can find it at Amazon, Smashwords, and B&N ~ and let me just say, YAY! Let’s hear it for self publishing!! I loved this story ~ she managed to pack so much into it, and totally convince me that Morgan and Jace were made for one another……..and that both of them were made of kick ass toughness!! Grab this up for $.99 ~~ it’s a steal!

Reading this was like sliding a knife through butter, quick painless and very easy! The author has taken less than 100 pages and crammed each one full of wonderful characters, quick and easy plot twists and best of all the hot steamy romance that she has made one of her trademarks... For me this novella was a nice interlude that read like a much longer story... The look into a new world with a Vampire Princess and Werewolf Alpha's pairing being the central plot guaranteed my attention as love the characters of both Jace and Morgan! The action and drama that takes place when you add fighting against demon's from Hell into the mix, intrigue and betrayal amongst the ranks of friend and foe alike and the pages just turn faster and faster until the end...

A nice addition to a long line of wonderful stories that Cynthia Eden has penned for her fans!

Soooo, this is a novella. I'm not a big fan of novella length stories and this is a perfect example of why. It has an interesting plot, a growly alpha wolf who manages to be extra alphay and sexy without being a jerkface, a strong, self-possessed heroine who knows what she wants and goes for it, Machiavellian machinations, some interesting double dealings, a good side character, etc. But at 89 pages none of it, NONE OF IT, is developed. There is no character development, no world building, no time for relationships to progress, nothing. So despite some pretty good writing skills this remains a complete let down.

I, of course, don't mean this review to be, 'I don't liked novellas. This is a novella, thus I don't like it.' It is what it is and what it is is a good story that is unfortunately rushed and unsupported because the author tried to cram it into 89 pages. Such a shame too, it could have been really good with another 150 pages.

Bound by Blood is a spicy and exotic read that will leave you breathless. I was anticipating a fast read, but what I was not prepared for was the absolute awesomeness of this story. As a short story I was expecting an abrupt romance, but what I found was a carefully crafted story that twists and turns around the characters. Cynthia displays her talent and creativity building a story with a past and a future. Jace has been admiring the Vampire Princess for years. with forbidden feelings has bided his time for this perfect moment. The moment just arose when the Princess walked through the door of a Wolf Bar, and claimed to be his future mate. Little does she know that hers is not the only plan in action, and more importantly when wolves mate it is for life.

I love cynthia Eden! This was only 70- some pages and still managed to be an awesome read...Because it is so short, it's obviously not going to be as drawn out as her longer books, but it's definitely one of the better novellas out there. And while everything happens at a rapid pace, Cynthia's such a good story teller that she makes everything work...and with CE's recent romantic suspense releases ( which if you haven't read yet, you should definitely go get 'em) 'Bound by Blood'  does a good job of reminding  us how amazing her para world is... Now the only downside is that We've gotta wait till the end of next month for her next book!

A novella length story about a vampire princess agreeing to bond with an alpha werewolf in order to team up the two enemy groups to fight their common enemy - demons. Interesting premise and some steamy sex scenes. The exchange of "I love you" though seemed a bit sudden - especially on Morgan's part since there was little to explain what attracted her to Jace, other than his hot body and commitment to her. I think I could have done without the "I love you" scene and would have still felt I got my HEA. However, for a short story, Bound By Blood was a nice, easy read.

I really enjoyed this short read.

Cynthia Eden is new to me and I am now confident to put her other books on my ever growing tbr. Her writing was smooth, easy to read and quite addictive for such a small piece.

The passion between Jace and Morgan was HOT, yet believable (believable being that there was a good enough back story to understand the immediate attraction). I don't think its always easy for an author to get a smokin hot read with a deep storyline into something so short - so I give it two big thumbs up.

Jace is definitely an alpha I would like to get my teeth into.

Vampire Princess and Werwolf Alpha fall in love

fangs

Fun very light, quick read at 160 pages on my Nook. Not long enough for much character development, but I never expect too much of that from short stories. A Vampire princess and Alpha of the werewolves form an alliance in order to defeat the demon hoard that have been attacking and killing their clans.
