This book doesn't even deserve one star, it was horrifying. Though it was meant to teach french, its plot was still completely bland and predictable. The magic potion has no basis for existing and is a completely ridiculous way to kickstart a basic story. It was a waste of my time, my teacher's time, and my classmate's time. If we're being honest, the only reason that the school uses these pieces of trash is because they are only $4.00. They all deserved to be burned. Have a good day.

This book literally no joke has every plot twist and dramatic scene ever invented without forgetting to send a freaking good message. Like *spoiler* Why the heck does Rachelle still run away with Francois? and why does a potion that makes people become good even make any freaking sense?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!! *End of Spoiler* This book was wasted class time.

Super nice if you are an English speaker trying to learn French. The sentences are simple, the story in interesting, and there are footnotes and a chapter-by-chapter glossary in the back for the more advanced words and phrases. Would recomend.

So many problems with this book that it's not even funny. I don't see any reason why someone should read this without having a teacher force them to.

This book is sooo bad but oh my god is it entertaining. The repeating of information when it was absolutely not needed is hilarious and I had a great time reading this. This was actually a pretty good way of practicing reading French. The sentences were pretty easy and the words I didn't know were easy to look up and fit into the sentence.

j'ai lu cette livre pour s'améliorer mon français. C'est simple, ennuyeux, et pas amusante. Mais, c'est pas grave. Cette était mon prèmiere livre que j'ai finis en français, donc je suis très contente avec la livre.

This book is in french and it was about some pirates who were looking for a map to a island. There was magic potion involved and Rachel wasn't sure who her love was for.
