The alphas of Five Fangs have a tall task before them: Working their way out of the doghouse! Posy has accepted their apologies and is now looking forward to a series of surprise dates, each one unique and special in its own way.
Then it's off to the Royal Pack for Queen Lilah's coronation. King Julian was successful in finding Posy's paternal family, but will they accept her? And what's got Lark in a sudden panic? As Garnet, Topaz, and Granite comfort their little wolf mate, Quartz and Sid go on the hunt against the king's orders, and both of them will pay a different, albeit equally painful, price for that decision.
Family picks up immediately after Pack.
Includes bonus interviews with the main characters!
Love the five fang series! The 5 alphas are absolute simps, great family life and actually act their age. Posy has a hard background but they teach her how to be confidant in a safe and healthy way. (Even getting a therapist) lots of dark stuff happens in the past but this a great trauma recovering arc that I could not put down. All the characters are people with their own stories and own issues. All just trying to do their best. I don't normally see healthy pack dynamics in my books but man this made me actually want that.
I am really enjoying Posy and her mates adventures. There’s a lot of growth happening, both individually and overall. The guys are great and still so supportive, the wolves are crazy in the best way and I’m here for it all. Really intrigued about what will happen in the last book and what else the Moongoddess has prepared for our characters.
Before you read my review, please understand that it is a review of the SERIES and not the individual books. There are no spoilers, though. I would hate to give away too much. This is a series that needs to be experienced firsthand.
First, don't read this series for the smut. There is some hanky-panky, but it's a glacial burn, not very detailed, and feels like it was written for a YA series. (Although, if you like dirty talk, you are going to LOVE Wyatt and Quartz!) For me, this isn't really a bad thing, because I am way more of a plot reader than a smut reader. But I know it's something a lot of folks look for in reviews.
That sounds like a bad way to start a positive review, but I like ripping the Band-Aid off quickly, and that is really the only "negative" comment that I have, so I've ripped it off, and now we can get right to the good stuff!
I have been reading for 40 years, and I have never come across anything akin to this series. It is incredibly original and unique in how it's written, and I'm struggling to find a way to explain it to you. Most RH/WC have multiple, first person points of view (PoV), and this one is no different. However, unlike most, this series isn't told strictly from the primary characters' PoV. This one is told through the eyes of the main group, their individual wolves, and assorted friends, family, and colleagues' perspectives. I relished the opportunity to get to know these characters so very well. Many side characters also find their HEA in these pages, and it is very much a feel good story.
Here's a disclaimer. While this may be a feel good story, that doesn't take away from the fact that this series contains some darker themes, particularly those of domestic violence, child abuse, portrayal of autistic character, and mental health concerns such as PTSD - including flashbacks, hypervigilance, and panic attacks. Multiple characters seek outside help in the form of a pack therapist. That isn't an all inclusive list all of potential triggers, though, so read the author's content warnings and be mindful of your own mental health.
For me, this series is all about the character development. I absolutely adored the split between the human characters and their wolves. The wolves are just so much fun. I couldn’t help but fall in love with each of them. Just seeing a chapter header with one of the wolves made me grin and read faster. The sheer amount of personality written into each character, human and wolf, is simply staggering. I dare you to read it and not love Garnet, Quartz, Topaz, Granite, and Sid just as much as you love their boys. Go on. Try it.
I will say that having 12 main characters is a lot, and it took me a bit to be able to associate each wolf with its corresponding human. Things may get a little confusing at first, but the author does a magnificent job of maintaining separate, differing personalities, and it is absolutely worth a little more brain work to have the chance to really get to know everyone.
Watching Posy find solid footing and grow into a B.A.B. (bad *** *****) is pure joy. She is a delightfully innocent and naïve soul, but her lack of knowledge doesn't come across as childlike, which was a concern I had at the beginning. Reau (one of the side characters) is quite childlike in his behavior, though, and he will break your heart.
The actual plot is fairly simple. You won't find too many twists and turns here. By book 3, I had accepted that there isn't really a major, overarching storyline, so you don't really get a good grasp on what to expect from each book. There's no third act break-up. Almost zero OW/OM drama, and no ultimate bad guy who needs to be dealt with. Five Fangs is the story of what happens AFTER the bad guy gets what he deserves.
All in all, I loved the way this series was written. Every character is a delight to read, and the story gave me the warm fuzzies. 5/5 - I would definitely recommend.
as always it's a five star five things never gets me wrong it's so good I think it's one of the best of the best shifter books series I've listened to I'm listening to it on audiobook and I think it's amazing it's something I don't really and I love Posy I think she's amazing and so nice she is a whole character she's so genuine and so honest I also love the fact that she tries to be open with them even though she knows it's hard and having five mate is probably not easy on her but she works hard and loves them all equally and treats them all equally spends time with all of them privately and I think that's an amazing thing that helps your relationship it makes her relationship so beautiful I love that she also is very honest about how she feels and that when they mess up she tries to tell them and that they also listen and know that they messed up and try to make it better even though they kind of beat themselves up for it which is not good but I guess they're trying their best to see that and they did something wrong and that they're trying to fix it I also love the fact that they try to make your ass happy as he possibly can and I did that's amazing because I think it's so beautiful they try to make her happy because she suffered a lot the abuse she went through at such a young age you can see that that left a huge scar on her physically and mentally and I love that they try their best to help her get through it no matter how hard it is and this whole series is genuinely so beautiful and amazing it healed something inside of me that I didn't know needed healing and it made me cry made me sad and made me angry you made me happy and I love the ending of book four even though it ends in a cliffhanger but I already know what happens in book 5 😉 but I'm going to re listen to it because it's amazing 🤩

TITLE - Luna: Posy: Book Four AUTHOR - Mary Ann Weir TYPE - Series; #4 of 5 in 'Five Fangs" POV - 1st Person - Multiple GENRE - Urban fantasy, Romance READ DATES - 3/14/2024 to 3/17/2024
MAIN CHARACTERS - Posy, Mason (Garnet), Jayden (Quartz), Ash (Obsidian), Cole (Topaz), and Wyatt (Granite)
INITIAL REACTION - I kind of had an epiphany about 25% through that these books are written as just one very long and extended epilogue. It's kind of like the end of the LOtR Trilogy and we're on scene number 3,426. I'm honestly a bit exhausted with this series despite there only being one remaining book. I'm going to wait before considering the last book because I desperately need a change of pace.
I'm one of those people who once they start a book or get so far into a series, they have to finish it and that is what has happened here. I've gotten sucked in by a decent plot, yet I am baffled by the childlike characters. I'd almost say this is book for teens, but it has way too much steam for a high school library. The characters in wolf form are toddlers, yet they do bedroom aerobics like adults and in their human form they are 18+ and they have the maturity of middle schoolers half the time. Again, making the steamy parts somewhat cringe inducing. However, the emotion that the author weaves into the storyline and the underlying plot is really good so I can't seem to stop as I need to know how it ends as each book immediately picks up where the last one left off.
I continue to read this series hoping it's going to change but it continues to leave me confused. By now you would think Posy would begin to be a little stronger and not so weak for a Luna, or make the Alphas seem manlier and not seem as if they all have traumatic mental issues. Then you have a mentally challenged person who is young but you're basically mating him with 2 young males that's really kind of sick. I think I'm stopping at book 4 as this doesn't seem to be changing.
So finished number 4, and I don't know what more I can say, I know that there are only 5 books in the five fangs but I'm hoping that there might be a so far in there, lol, I'm a reader to explain that so far this year, ive read nearly 500, books, so sometimes it's hard to find something that captures my heart but this one did, it has everything you could ask for please enjoy.
Family: Posy continues following Posy and her mates story and sees them going on individual and a group date and attending the Queens coronation. I love these books as they’re low stress and keep me entertained throughout. I love the characters and the stories they tell and I find these books quite addictive. Overall, I love this book and would recommend giving it a read.
I love these books!! So much though has been put into the series. Love the different dynamics of the characters and the love and commitment they all have for each other. As a reader you get sucked into the stories and feel what they feel. The humor is also well thought out. I found myself laughing to myself and out load many times!!!
This is definitely at the top of my list of favorites.
I’m honestly so glad I stuck around to see what happens to everyone!!!! I absolutely love that Marty Ann Weir chose to do multiple POV’s and it makes it so easy to understand what’s going on in the book!!!! I do keep forgetting what wolf and what person go together though!!!! Very well written!!!!! Can’t wait to read the last book in the series!!!!!
Post gets her dates. Each is a discovery of new things about each of her mates and lots of character growth. All the things I love most in a book. And it’s half the book! This one covers just a small amount of time. But it’s really packed full. And we get to meet Posy’s extended family. Plus more comes forward about her past. If you like the previous books. This one will not disappoint
I love how the writer takes the time to give glimpses into the past lives of the various main pack members. I love how she allows natural consequences to happen to them and how compassionately each situation is dealt with. The love of each member for the other grows exponentially with every memory revealed. She proves that our chosen family is forever.
The whole series to this point has been strange. I do really like the characters and the story. I appreciate getting POV from all the characters. It was an interesting choice. The wolves being so immature overall but mature in some instances is strange and rather weird/taboo but it is good.
That filling in areas would start to get boring, but yeah... Nope. I'm going to be so sad to come to the end of this series. It could truly go on forever, I think. I guess I'll find out if book 5 is the end or that I've caught up to what the author has written. I can hope!
Loved the book again, storyline was great and is awesome to see Posy become way more confident in herself. Only reason I gave it 4/5 star is because book was super short. Only 21 chapters and It’s getting confusing with all the bettas and gammas mates and new mates. Hard to keep track and remember them all. Other wise still love the story can’t wait to listen to the final book!!!

Such an amazing shifters story. It is a real rollercoaster in emotions. I’ve cried I’ve laughed and got angry. Must read. Posy is the cutest sweetest girl what she endured in her young life is horrendous, and there come her mates…. Be ready and steady. I loved every book. And am lost what to read now….
Don't read this Series for the smut. Its a 3\5 at most. The characters, their interactions, emotions, antics and love is why u read this series. Its like nothing IV ever read!!! I'm sad that IV only got 1 book left:( no breakup, and no crazy plot twist yet. But the flow of the books have kept me easily entertained.
I liked how the author tried to tie up the loose ends, but the introduction of both families kind of dragged the story out a bit. I liked the part about the alphas messing up, individual dates, and making up part. It was really emotional and vulnerable. But overall, the book felt a little stretched. 4-star.
Is this series cringey? Hell yes BUT it’s hilarious and honestly so bad it’s good?
The only thing is I have to skim/skip the parts when Lark and wolves are enjoying sexy time as all the ‘daddy’ talk feels majorly wrong and so cringey and I can’t get past the baby talk
I am still living these books about Posy and her 5 mates! I'm truly in love with each mate and their wolves! I'm going to see if there are any more books by this author for this universe.
I loved this like the other three books. In this one posy becomes more stronger and finds her Luna power which was so funny to see it having an effect on the werewolf king. Again really enjoyed this
Another great read. I’m enjoyed all the characters so much! This might be one of my favorite series. I adore all the wolves and everything. Even the childish ness of it. Great read. I’ve laughed and o can’t wait to the next book.
I’m so glad Q is finally learning to chill a little. So much happened and these books make me emotional especially with row . I absolutely loved how he stuck up for his “family “.
This series runs true. The characters are loveable, and they are fun. Usually, I drop a series if the storylines have holes in them. But I have not found any in these books.
I adored the effort each Alpha put into their individual dates. They showed Posy that they really were sorry for doubting her and pledged to do better. There's still side characters with mates to be found, and I have a theory about Posy's cousin and who his will be. We'll see if I'm right!
I love how we see all personalities of all the characters and especially reading their wolves conversations and interactions with each other . I totally love Quartz’s apology letter. Made my heart squeeze.
I love that the alpha are teaching ad encouraging Posy to be her own person after she suffered so many years of abuse. Posy in her gentle kind and caring ways has tamed those rowdy alphas and even their dangerous wolves.
