it was ok the first two volumes were promising, with a pretty good art style and an unique story, but the more volumes I was reading, the more this manga felt like a "nothing to say" story. I don't mind the plotless if author devote it to the artistic aspect or complexity, but this manga altogether turned out to be an uninteresting kind of void. Reading three previous volumes was like driving throught vacancy space , even if characters tried to say something inrigacy, it was blankness to me. objectively, it isn't the worst manga I have ever read, it's average and I'll prppably forget about it after a month
The story is interesting and explores themes and philosophy that fascinate me but the way this is told is chaotic, and not really in a good way. It jumps in what feels to me like a random fashion between characters, plotlines, and even timelines. New parts of plotlines are added and to me not always in a logical place and you don't really discover until near the end of the section why it's there. I like the stories of the inn, but some of the characters that got introduced and seemed important in the first couple of volumes are now more background characters while others aren't. Considering their stories are linked this is just as much of a mystery to me as the owner of the inn is (maybe more considering Owner keeps turning up in random spots of the story, which is expected.
Honestly, I read this sporadically so I can't recall my thoughts on any specific points. I think I can vaguely recall some more buildup for Butterfly either having a more permanent mental breakdown and/or dying as a result, Spider & Owner gonna die before Butterfly. I wonder if Butterfly will inherent the inn, if he also doesn't die? 3 stars only because of my sporadic reading timeline for this volume.
Very philosophical…. I think all these characters would benefit from going to therapy because they all got more issues than a magazine! Seriously! Also, snake eyes has entered the chat and is ready to destroy some lives. (ง •̀ゝ•́)ง ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
