Are you disappointed in democracy? Or do you still believe in democracy? When the U.S. presidential election triggered riots, the Burmese people shed blood for democracy! Is democracy an unshakable universal value or an over-glamorized majority violence? Professor of the History Department of the Free University of Berlin, Germany, used 101 questions to take us to a new understanding of democracy. In early 2021, after the U.S. presidential election, some people refused to recognize the election results and went to the Capitol to protest, triggering riots. Less than two months later, far away on the other side of the world, Myanmar's real leader Aung San Suu Kyi was taken into custody by the military government, and the people of Myanmar took to the streets to fight for democracy.
