This anthology is all about amplifying BIPOC youth activism and socio- political issues through creative expression. It depicts how one find a cultural identity in a melting pot? What’s their journey to explore cultural identity and how it has shaped their principles? The works in this anthology is inspired by a real-life incident, movie, national events, or authentic experiences. We conducted a BIPOC writing contest 2021 and invited all the writers from across the globe to submit creative writing (poems, short stories, prose, etc) that shed light on their personal experience as a BIPOC or for a BIPOC.
Through this BIPOC anthology, Wingless Dreamer publisher aims to build authentic and lasting solidarity among Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), in order to eradicate Native invisibility, anti-Blackness, and advance racial justice. We highlight the unique relationship to whiteness that Indigenous and Black (African Americans) people have. Wingless Dreamer Publisher tries to share the experiences, relationships, and sentiments of BIPOC in a more artistic manner i.e., through poetry and short-stories. We unapologetically focus on and center relationships among BIPOC folks. Enjoy reading!
