I checked this out from my library blindly, not realizing that the Quickreads series is an educational series for young adults that struggle with reading. I do read a lot of YA though, so I gave it a shot.

With that disclaimer, this isn't even really a story. It's more like a basic sketched-out outline of a story. Look, if you're trying to help struggling kids with reading, you could at least give them something engaging. Especially when the description is so promising.

If I had been forced to read this in school, I would have chucked it across the room.
