I like the range provided in the excerpts of this book. There are stories taht would appeal to both boys and girls -- and I feel all of these excerpts are engaging enough to make kids want to dig deeper into the stories (especially with things like "Tom Sawyer" and "The Secret Garden"). I appreciate the glossary for terms, but wonder if something more modern wouldn't be better.
