Fuuko Kameyama was a cheerful, ordinary girl, who was about to embark on the time of her life - entering high school. However, one day, a truck pulls up to her low-rise appartment. Emerging from the truck were two handsome boys that were her age. One was the fun-loving Daiya, the other was the cold and sly looking Ichi. Apparently these cousins were moving into the appartment above her's and they will be attending the same high school in the same grade!

It's okay, nothing to rant and rave about. I just wish that there was more attainable ways to reading it. It's hard to find without ordering it yourself. Meaning no one has heard of it, but you'll be the one to donate it to your local library when you finish it. Then everyone else will know about it.

i forgot how much i loved this manga. it was like walking down memory lane cause i remember the first volume as clear as day😭🖤

i love Fuuka, she’s adorable and i love her growing friendship with both Ichi and Daiya. i don’t remember who she ends up with but i guess i’ll have the element of surprise with this series😂

i loved the extra story at the end, it was so cute!

Its about this girl had new neighbours arriving in her hood the day before school started. Itchi and Daiya are really handsome. Daiya is very popular known to girls and Itchi loves being alone. Itchi sounds totally different to Daiya, though they are cousins.Fukko started to fall in love for Daiya but the problem is Daiya dosen't know what does the meaning love means.

It's one of my favorite japanese comic book ever! Why? Becuase Fuko Kameyama is not pretty. She's just not. Shes a plain teenager with normal life and normal love life. Until one day, BAM! Hot duo move in, Daiya and Ichi Shinpo.
I cried and I laughed with this comicbook. LOVE!

I SWEAR. Trust me you DON'T want to get into this. I bitch bitch bitch and bitch in here. I SPOIL the whole series too. Yep. SPOILER for the whole SPOILED blahblahblah. I SPOIL this whole series, shoo.

UPDATE: I am SO HAPPY this manga is done and over with THANK GOODNESS! I was getting sick of the drama drama drama bullwhoopie! I love Ichi and wanted him to get Fuuko (not because I like her cuz I don't but because HE likes her/LOVES her, I mean. So he should have her). Daiya and her little problem got blown up and dragged. I still don't get why they broke up, whatever. But BECAUSE their problem got blown up (they were having too much happy-couple time together therefore, no doubt, the author decided to throw in some drama to make us ICHI fans relent and hand over Fuuko to Daiya ) it became a guarantee/done-deal/100percent kablam-whatev that Fuuko and Daiya would end up together... *Sigh* The ending was super super rushed. The plot got too complex (dragged, over-dramatized) and so the ending and choice in main guy (the eventual process of getting him/there) got rushed and belittled to simple details, ect; Not satisfactory. The near-ending made me dislike Daiya more or maybe resent is a better word? His love was proved to be a flimsy casual thing and I want/prefer Ichi's "Forever" love more. Btw, Ichi the idiot/ass screwed up. Big Time. Once. And made Fuuko cry. A lot. BUT! Daiya fucked up their relationship and made Fuuko cry too. A lot. (P.S. His poker face pissed me off. I wanted to punch/bitch-slap him.) MORE THAN ONCE. He was FOREVER given second, third, fourth chances blah blah blah bitch Fuuko heroine. Her leniency and choice in Daiya and his flimsy shakable unstable love pissed me off. And she forgave his ass for being an ass so much, just like that, there at the ending? Fuck that. Screw that. I say, "UP YOURS!", as in fuck you I'm sick of you, outta my face. Thank God you're done and over with! Oh yes... another thing.. WHAT.THE.FUCK. with the BITCHIORIWHORE?? """SHE""" gets a fucking happy ending? Are you FUCKING WITH ME? I am so done with this manga, this headache of a series. Even if it wasn't over with I would drop the shitty-- AND I'M OUT! Goodbye forever.

-----------------------------------

Was OBSESSED with wanting to know what the effers was going to happen but all the drama lost me. I SPOILERed myself to the end, fuck that shit.

Iori the WHORE, the bitch, the ruiner of all relationships, clingy stupid needy annoying piss-me-off, everyonehatesyou Iori. God just her name boils my blood and I want to disembowel her.. with words! She ruined everything, I didn't give a shit that once upon a time she was a cheating whore and poor pathetic iwantattention-her's boyfriend (is he a fucking boyfriend? With what rights does he call himself a "boyfukingfriend"??? He needs to realize he is one and that his bitch of a "girlfriend" is ruining people's lives and has a boytoy lovesick pathetic puppy on her side. So he needs to man up and fucking stick with his "girlfriend! *sneers* Fucking asshole stupid boyfriend. Really, everyone involved with her is just such a stupid waste of- yes, yes, I hate her ugly guts.) is too busy or some shit for you to throw up your worries and disgusting snot and leakage on him.. so much so that you have to find a different dick guy to snot all over.. Bitch.

I adore Daiya. I do!! But... I'm Ichi-all-the-way Daiya-fuuko fans. (Fucking Fuuko)
I really do like Daiya, did I make myself clear? Because I do. I ADORE him. Now that that's done, I can trash him. First, we'll start with his "annoying crybaby indecisive stupid annoying I wanna smack her pleasepleaseplease let me!!!! girlfriend."

I used to like Fuuko and I was tricked into sympathizing with her, ok ok i did but that's in the past now I just don't like any of them anymore. And fuck you too author darling dear. Because I know you wanted Daiya as the phab-ej. Yes he fucked up major, I wanted to kill/punch/fuckingslaphimslaphim but goddddddd that's why FUCKING SECOND FUCKING CHANCES WERE FUCKING INVENTED FUCKING-AHHHHHH. *PANT PANT PANT I'M TRYING TO BREATHE THROUGH MY UTTER FRUSTRATIONS AND ANGER, RESENTMENT, DISAPPOINTMENT, DISFUCKIGNSATISFACTION!!!!! AHHHHHHH HUFF HUFF HUFFF grrrrrrrre;snvkflgnrcn;fdlm;* Yes, Ichi idiot baka (BAKABAKABAKA!!!!!) fucked up horrendously but.. why the fuck was Daichi given a SECOND CHANCE! and Ichi wasn't? And WHAT THE FUCK S UP WITH FUCKING BITCH ANNOYING FUUKO (I HATE HER)'S STUPID EMOTIONS??????? I read this thread on Mangafox and this very smart woman who shares the same belief as me put into perfect words this:

"I agree that Fuuko should end up with Ichi. (I'm going to explain why since you Ichi fans can't really defend for yourselves right now.)

Fuuko liked Daiya but, Daiya reject her and made up this excuse saying how could he love anyone? So then afterwards Fuuko started to like Ichi and Ichi began to like her as well. Their chemistry together matched. They both loved each other until this IORI came in and ruined it. Iori wanted Ichi. She manipulated him into only loving her. It took a long time for Ichi to realize he had to get away from Iori in order to date and love Fuuko as he can be. He was just stuck in his past. Ichi was confused and didn't know what to do. Witch ended up hurting Fuuko. The thing was, was that Fuuko couldn't handle it and took it on Daiya. Therefore Daiya began to like her. Right when Ichi realized he was stupid he was going to ask Fuuko out. Yet, Daiya beated Ichi already knowing that Fuko has feelings for Ichi and Ichi has feelings for her.

This is what really pissed me off, she said yes. Knowing that Ichi was in the amidst of crisis and drama she said yes even though she still liked Ichi. And Ichi was heartbroken. He didn't even get to say his part.
Then suddenly Fuuko starts liking Daiya yet, Ichi has no say in this? What about Ichi's feelings about Fuuko? Fuuko and Daiya completely ignored Ichi's feelings and went on with life like nothing happened. That was really selfish of them. And then oops, at the end they live happily ever after? Ichi didn't even get his part in it.

So, what the hell happened to Fuuko's feelings for Ichi? I'm pretty sure that she still has some feelings for Ichi. Ever heard of second chances? He messed up BAD because he was confused and didn't know what to do. Fuuko should've gave Ichi another chance. I don't like this, 'Oh I like Daiya!' 'Oh no Daiya doesn't like me, I guess I'll like Ichi then!' 'SIKE! I LIKE DAIYA NOW! ICHI HURT ME! I'M NOT GIVING HIM A CHANCE! I'M GIVING DAIYA ANOTHOR CHANCE!'

Once Daiya and Fuuko were going out I totally stopped reading it. But, I seriously wanted to know what happened at the end so then I read the end. lol."
---Ameya. "I want her with Ichii.! *May contain spoilers.!*". Mangafox. Dec. 2, 2011. April 9, 2012.

.

Ameya's said it all and to avoid me bitching bitching bitching bitching bitching bitching about how much I HATE Iori the whore (I would love to see some blood here), am annoyed and not super enchanted with Daiya and PISSED at moronic crybaby indecisive silly wrong Fuuko (whoever says she "DESERVES better pssh fans, please. SHE Doesn't WANT better, she wants THEM. And how the hell is she so high up there that SHE deserves better??? It would have been better if she'd never met them. They'd still be happy, chummy, friends, and wouldn't have to stress or cry about silly Fuuko, indecisive Iwanthimnoiwanthimnoiwantthatoneiwantthisone. WHO DESERVES betterrrr??? No one. They don't deserve?? (what's up with this word???) They don't go right with each other. They just make one another, angry, stressed, cry, frustrated, spiteful of one another and no one's happy. Or if two silly cruel ones are then pitiful Ichi's not. Fuck all of them. I hate all of them. I just pity Ichi more hence, he should find a different girl. The author should just scrap this whole mess of a dramadramadramatearstearswaahhwahhwahhcrybabypissmeoff manga and come up with something new with Ichi as the main guy without any annoying mary-sue boring crybabies disaster fuukos and give him a nice loving girl who's feisty/cute/loving enough for Ichi. Daichi can be in there too but he can't have the girl. He'll have his own silly little air-head girlfriend or someone like fuuko's senpai. I like her too, senpai and her boyfriend can be in there too.) Ok, enough. I don't want to exhaust and fuck myself over/piss me off with any more thoughts about this pissmeoff manga. ciao.

Parfait Tic (a title I don't believe has any particular meaning to this story) is actually a pretty nice shoujo romance series. It does employ the use of the love triangle, but I think it does a decent job of handling a realistic approach to the kind of emotions that go along with love triangles and how relationships between people work.

Clocking in at 149 chapters (plus one bonus chapter that focuses more on a grown up Koto) across 22 volumes, this series is what I personally consider a sweet spot in terms of length.

For me, manga often have one of two problems:

1) They either cut off too soon and don't fully develop the story--often rushing things by throwing in plot devices meant to speed up or simplify the story, thus impacting it--
or
2) They drag everything out too long, refusing to know when to end it, and bog down the story with too many unnecessary plot developments (often repetitive) or even just flat out "filler" content that has little bearing on the plot in order to keep the series going long past its due.

Parifait Tic, like Red River, Vol. 1, has the benefit of giving the story the length it needs to develop, but also knowing what elements are most necessary to the story and when to end it. That is super crucial in a manga!

Without going too much in depth with this one, the plot follows a 15 year old girl named Fuuko, who finds her life changed one day when two boys (who are cousins) move into her apartment complex. The three of them become friends, fall in love, fight, reconcile, and work through the trials of their relationships and one another throughout their high school days.

I feel that there's a good amount of development and exploration put into these characters and their feelings.

For example, Fuuko develops a somewhat shallow crush on Daiya at first and he isn't quite sure what dating or romantic attraction truly are and rejects her confession, but over the course of the story, we see how these two become more emotionally mature and complex as they handle their feelings and the intricacies of human relationships that can make a romance hard, even if two people mutually like one another.

One thing I really appreciated about Parifait Tic was the fact that this high school story didn't feature a lot of the more problematic content and messages that are often included in shoujo titles. The series, despite focusing on 15/16 year olds, remained pretty child-friendly and had overall decent messages about relationships and love.

I will say, however, that Iori was my least favorite part. She's six years older than Ichi and he has a crush on her. She knowingly uses him as a convenient boy eager to please her whenever her boyfriend makes her unhappy because she'd rather go cry to Ichi than be an adult and address her problems with her boyfriend, which is both creepy and exploitative. I honestly resent Iori's character and think it's kind of creepy that the manga was like... totally chill with Ichi continuing to harbor and pursue a crush on her for so much of the story. I wish there had been some message about that age gap and the power dynamic imbalance.

As for the art, it's generally nicely done, but the eyes could sometimes get to me and seem too big/detailed on the girls. The author's style does shift a bit from the first chapter to the last, notably in the mouths (they get more realistically proportioned over time) and the head shapes (they elongate a bit) and overall it has a more pretty, polished look by the end. I do like it overall. It's not the most gorgeous I've ever seen or my number one favorite, but there are far, far worse and I think it suited the story very nicely.

Despite the length, I found it a pretty quick read that I got through fairly fast. For the reread I did for this review, it took me 3 days (through this is me just casually going through to refresh my memory, rather than devoting myself to reading for long stretches like I tend to do).

For once, this series was one I read and knew of before the live action adaption. I've actually never fully watched the Taiwanese drama adaptation of this series (which, I guess, is somewhat loose because the Taiwanese drama is called "Love Buffet" but it's very clearly adapting this manga's story) because I thought the actor for Daiya looked sorta weird. I also haven't seen the more modern Japanese live action remake of this series either; I didn't even know it existed, but it seems Japan has started making drama adaptations of older manga because this is the third I've found out about in recent memory.

Today I’m covering a work that pissed me off a lot. In the beginning I even wanted to drop reading it, that was around volume 8 or 9, but my curiosity just didn’t let me do it. Near volume 14, I was just praying that Fuuko would find a love interest totally different than Daiya and Ichi, I really did believe she would choose some weird, random guy. But no, the author just kept going back and forth between those two. And in the end she didn’t choose the guy that I wanted to choose.

Let me keep this brief, because if I start voicing everything that drove me near the insanity there will be 22 volumes of that. Meet our characters – Fuuko – a girl who loves weird hairstyles and kids, Daiya – a very frivolous guy and his cousin Ichi a very composed one. I normally have fun while reading a love triangle, because I’m just making fun of everyone, here I was so frustrated and annoyed that I even forgot to have fun. How could you keep going between two guys before for 150 chapters? That’s freaking insane. And even when we do get a solid couple we do not really see them do anything couple like, they have quarrels and are near breaking up point every time. Annoying doesn’t really express it.

Another thing is art style. I was quite used to her art style, but it appears to be the author’s very first work, many in the very beginning I had lots of problems with the art. Though after reading and getting annoyed with plot, the art didn’t really matter, it does get better in the middle. So if you do read up to that point and not get annoyed you might even like it. Hmm… what else, ah, I did promise you that this review will be brief. Well, I didn’t really enjoy it all that much, though I read it to the end and even gave it 3 stars, but I was debating whether I should give it less, but then, I remembered that not everything was all that bad. The story has its ups and downs. There are a lot of moments, which I did like, and laughed wholeheartedly. So, do not base your opinion solely on my review. Try reading the story for yourself; maybe you’ll love it a lot. That’s your choice and your opinion.

Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favorite book or manga! Happy reading!

XOXO

Ichi si cowok cool yang cuek tapi baik, pinter and charming.

Heran...

A rather sweet and cute story, Parfait Tic! is sure to satisy your shojo needs. It's everything that a shojo is: cute with a dash of romance. While I'm more into josei, this was a nice read. The characters were refreshing but at times I felt I had seen them before. So far, it's not a must read.

A nice love story for a high school student. Between like and love there was just a thin line. Like a real life story when two boys and a girl become a friend. The girl fall in love with the two boys. She fall with the boy who care for her most.

I love it, the up and down in love. It was the kind high school memory I want to experience. But I just a book worm in my high school day, so there was no love story involving me in my high school day.
