'I Decide' is a self-paced course that builds participant confidence and competence in decision-making over 21 units. The course has been prepared for study in conjunction with my book the ordinary person’s road map to life’s big decisions. The step up to confident decision-making is made by guided self-reflection so that individuals understand the context in which they make choices and are empowered take charge of their own life and circumstances, regardless of external pressures. 'I Decide' is also suitable for group workshops of people looking to improve themselves and their relationships. Readers are invited to gain an understanding of the context in which they are living, to realise how changes in values affect the choices they make. Tasks and responsibilities of each stage of life are examined to help the reader understand the challenges if one is to grow in maturity. The Maturity Model is a useful tool for making confident decisions. Our relationships with others continue to change as we become adult, become parents, reach midlife and grow older. Over 21 days of the course, the reader is invited to personalise understanding about the trajectory of their life and the decisions they have made in light of the social and financial consequences. Negative patterns of choice can be changed for the better and the foundation laid for a more harmonious future in which the reader is empowered, confident and competent in making decisions.
