What amazing insights into life as a child-teen in Manchester, 120 years ago.
Mary Bertenshaw was born in 1904, and describes the many adventures and observations of her life as a young girl. Such a different society, but her clear descriptions allow deep and thoughtful insights into the lives of another time. Lots of lovely photos of old Manchester add imagery to the text descriptions. Really enjoyed this very personal account.
