In 2017 and 2018 things came to a boil after several “mass casualty” events. Most significant among them was the massacre in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 1, 2017, and a high school shooting massacre in Florida on Valentine’s Day 2018. Only weeks after the Las Vegas event, John Alphonso sat down with a feeling of urgency and a feeling of obligation to write a letter to the American people, trying to explain the things he knew about this appalling situation.
