This feels like the first essential Bayverse tie-in. The origin of Megatron and Optimus' relationship is well explored. It's the most character these characters have had in all the movies and tie-ins. The narration from both characters really makes the book. If you read any Michael Bay Transformers tie-in, it should be this one.

Good to see more Arcee and Shockwave since they didn't get enough love in the Bayverse films.

I love this, it was great. The story was very hooking and kept me interested. The prequel really showed much more of the story in between films, it really gets everything explained properly. Whne watching the films, and seeing things that had no explanations, it was confusing and odd, but with the prequels explaining everything, it most certainly made sense.

The story was insane and very pulling of the emotional strings. Shockwave, while never actually featured in the films, was a very evil decepticon, and wow, he would have been a great antagonist in the films, more evil I find than Megatron.
