I’ve accepted my new life as the Alpha King’s Breeder—even though it almost killed me. And the danger isn’t over yet. Isla Being with Maddox is even more amazing than I ever could’ve dreamed. I’ve accepted that I’ll never be his Luna Queen, and I’m content just being with him. But his enemies are still out there, and some of them might come after me again to get to him. Is it worth it? As the mystery about who I am and where I came from unfolds, I begin to wonder if there isn’t another place I’m meant to be, other than by Maddox’s side, but he won’t even hear of it. I’m his. For life. Maddox I have to keep Isla safe, no matter what. She might think that I’m being unfair, keeping her here when she wants to leave, but it’s only to make sure my enemies don’t get to her. The more time I spend with her, the clearer it becomes that I have feelings for her, but I can’t let it distract me. I have to keep my mind free to handle my enemies so I don’t lose my kingdom. I still don’t intend to take a Luna Queen, but as Isla begins to realize she’s not who she’s always thought she was, I have to wonder if the Moon Goddess might have other plans. Will I end up married again after all? Over one million reads on Radish. Don’t miss the exciting second book in the series!
The curse of the sequel to “the first in a series free” from apple books has struck again. This book is SO bad. Two characters were given the same name and then it changed half way through. There is zero editing. HOWEVER, I am lowkey addicted. The lore is so insane I feel like I have to see this through so I can give a debrief to all of my friends. The title makes you think there would be smut in this book but there is not.
Honestly, the first book wasn't too out there, but I agree with some other comments that what it was really lacking was a good, thorough edit to catch the annoying mistakes. Two characters' dialogues in the same paragraph causing confusion, a heavy passive voice that sometimes makes it confusing whose perspective we're following, and other things like that would have been easily handled with a better edit. HOWEVER, I think this one lost me once the term "vajayjay" was said, unironically. I haven't heard that term since like 8th grade, and it should stay there.
I think the whole world of this story is something that could have been more fleshed out. There's modern technology like landline phones, ultrasounds, security cameras and such, yet seemingly the story seems to take place in a pre-modern society with how everyone behaves. I will certainly be finishing the series to see where it goes—and it does seem to have some interesting things going on here—I think the constant back and forth so far with the characters' relationships is really veering towards repetitive, and not complex.

There's a lot of slut shaming throughout this series so far, so I shouldn't have been surprised to find raging ableism in this book.
Handicap isn't a bad word. Calling someone who is Handicap, hanidicap isn't calling someone a bad name.
I don't know what the author was thinking when she wrote this part of the story, but saying the word handicap is the offensive terminology while following up and declaring the actual offensive terminology (like wheelchair-bound, and differently abled) is a REALLY shitty thing to do.
All that was written on page 179-180 roughly 60% through the book. And this is where I had to stop and write the above review. I have the 1st four books in the series. I'll finish out this book, but I'm not especially keen to finish out the series at this point.

The story is interesting, I want to know how this story ends. The reason I gave this a lower score is that Poppy is rude and quite frankly disrespectful. You see character development happening with the mfc but it also comes with her making some questionable decisions and she behaves like a petulant teen...it was quite annoying. I will continue to read the series but I am hoping the mfc doesn't become super powered and saves the whole world. Making the mmc seem like a weakling and everyone close to the mfc disrespect him and forgets who he is. I also would like to know more about Ben, he seems to be an interesting character.

It got into a much slower pace and a lot of over complicated story line. I also think that something was mixed on the way but the main story line is still interesting to quickly read through the whole book. I may take a break here between the first two books and the next two about the same couple: King Maddox and Isla…. I may continue reading them soon… To be seen…
It's a good continuation of the first book. It seems to be just a couple of days and they seem to drag on at times. There were a few places where things didn't make sense or words were wrong or in the wrong order. Overall a good read and I only got a little confused twice. Lots of surprises in this book. Thinking back there is foreshadowing, but only hints.
With only slight improvements from the previous installment. The editing still falls below expected standards, (11 errors noted.) The story shows promise, but the poor editing affects the quality of the writing. Despite this, I will continue with the series, as I have become invested in the characters. It is my hope that the editing improves in future installments.
Isla knows that she needs to find out the truth about her past but at what cost? Maddox just wants to keep her safe so he forbids her from leaving. But will he be able to stop her from leaving? What will happen next will probably change everything. Is there hope for them? A great second book in the series
Excellent book!! I literally cannot put this book down. It's fabulous!! Bella's writing is so flowing, and I never want to stop reading. Sometimes I want to smack Maddox. He's going to end up losing Isla if he doesn't smarten up. Isla's brother Ben comes to visit her and her parents. Will she finally get the answers from her parents about her past??
Really 3.5 I'm not sure if it is the A.I. narration or the story itself but it's persistence and my ocd need to finish a series once started but I haven't been listening as often as usual. The premise is good but it's missing something I just can't put my finger on it. But I'm off to book 3, so....
As this storyline goes on, there's so many bad and twisted people that you begin to wonder if it will ever end 😢. The Alpha King is trying so hard to make everyone happy, that he's losing the big picture 🤔. Thanks again Bella, this series is addictive and I can't wait to see what happens next 🤓.
I read the story (i'm still reading actually, at book 15 now) up to now not book per book but in one straight continuous line. The first books are slower because the "family tree" needs to be given a shape, but overall it's an enjoyable read.
Amazing Book! I felt like by the end of the book the characters were a part of my family! Such a beautiful love story with adventure, heartache and so much more. The writing is superb and super engaging. Can't wait to read all the other books. Thank you so much!
Loved this one as much as the first. Love the twists and all the action I couldn't put it down and I'm sure there is a lot more to come. Looking forward to book 3
