Robert Lawrence Stine known as R. L. Stine and Jovial Bob Stine, is an American novelist and writer, well known for targeting younger audiences. Stine, who is often called the Stephen King of children's literature, is the author of dozens of popular horror fiction novellas, including the books in the Goosebumps, Rotten School, Mostly Ghostly, The Nightmare Room and Fear Street series.

R. L. Stine began his writing career when he was nine years old, and today he has achieved the position of the bestselling children's author in history. Here's another great series for younger kids. My son and I laugh out loud at some of the things these kids get themselves into.

The Teacher from Heck by R. L. Stine is a good book but some things that would have made it better for me personally would that if they didn’t hit Mrs. Heinie at the end. The reason for that is because it kind of made it a little too childish for me that they hit her at the end because I want something to read that’s a little realistic. Another thing I didn’t like is that the kids thought Sherman Oaks got Bernie better than he got him because Bernie literally made him naked with the power of the water but Sherman just overdosed him with water. On the other hand I did like that Bernie’s were always loyal to him and he’s pretty much the leader. For example, he gets foot massages by one of his friends and they always depend and count on him. I recommend this book to 4th graders and people who love fiction and have great friends.

R.L. Stine is back at Rotten School, focusing on Bernie Bridges and his shenanigans with his friends. It’s classic R.L. Stine humor with funny illustrations throughout. It’s a light, funny, quick read that is good! Definitely a funny little series from R.L. Stine that are worth a light hearted read.

The book follows Bernie and his friends as they go to battle with water against other students. When they have finally driven the carefree laidback dorm mom away, she is replaced by the teacher from heck. A drill instructor who is strict as can be, something Bernie and his friends don’t need, want, or like. Follow along as they battle a water war, getting rid of the drill instructor, and many more surprises.

This book is really nice to read because it has enjoyful things in it to make you laugh you're head off literally!!!

When I read this book I thought that would be so boring and at the second page I found out that it wasn't just the announcements, there was more to it. The rising action is really interesting because it reminds me of books that I read in sixth grade that's still in my till now.

On the other hand the climax was impressioning to see that the author changed the climax into something that I couldn't think of and this is why I like the author's writing style.

While I never had a Water War during my elementary days, I do remember having water gun fights on the last day of school during junior high. You either had to hide your water gun in your book bag or hide it somewhere in the alley that was across the street from the school as you didn't want to get caught with one. The Water War plot in this book will appeal to many kids as well as the main plot about the strict new teacher. Overall, Rotten School: The Teacher from Heck is a fast-paced little read with a few laughs here and there.

I remember reading this, laid across the swimming pool, when I was 13 or so.

This book made me laugh so much that I almost jumped into the pool with my dry clothes on and the book, which I had borrowed from the library, in pure, ecstatic joy.

Writing this, I am now 18, about to read this once again.
