Lost Souls
Lily drinks too much and maybe has a little too much fun between hanging out with her best friend and killing paranormal bad guys. At least that's what people tell her in their most disappointed voices, usually while staring down their noses at her.

This was a super quick RH novella. Almost too quick 👀. I really enjoyed the story but it was rushed and it ended abruptly and now idk what to do lol.
I loved Lily. She was a FMC who was actually written strong, powerful, funny, caring, etc. I wanted to dive deeper into the guys’ backstories to find out why they were stuck in Helk (🔥😈).
Hopefully there will be a full length novel coming.

Short, too short! And the ending suggests this could be a prequel to a new series. Oh, I do hope so, this short taste has me wanting more from this world.

Great world-building and good character outlining and filling. And some spicy smex thrown in, as well as steamy moments on this short trip to hell, to save a friend.
I don't know what I was expecting but I got more and it was a welcome surprise.

In a world filled with Angels and Demons and who knows what else, there is a department of Hunters who are trying to rid the world of these beasts.
With Lily, a halfbreed, trying her hardest to do the opposite and save the broken beings, she is forced to go to the City of Flames in Demon world after her best friend is taken.
Meeting up with three old demons from her past, who don’t remember her at all due to age and an unexpected surprise from the Devil himself. They are set out on a mission to bring back her friend Kate.
Zane, Jaxson, Ian, the level 10 shifter demons are instantly entranced by Lily and are willing to go above and beyond to help her. And want to get as close as shell allow them to be.
When Kate is retrieved, a prophecy is unveiled and shows their mission is only the start of something bigger than they could have imagined. The novella ends with her original mission having been completed, but their journey has only begun.

In all honesty, I was completely lost in the beginning. Their was insta-lust right away but the demons didn’t even remember her cuz of how fast Humans age compared to them so they had no idea who they were entertaining. This is a great little prequel to what looks like could be an amazing series. Lily is a half-demon, and when her friend is kidnapped she has to make the journey to hell to find her. But that's not all she finds when she gets there, the three sexy demons who only remember her as a child are hotter than hell and she craves each of them.
It's a short, and spicy read from start to finish and it really does set up a new series brilliantly. There is no definite yet that it will be a series but everything is set up for it so I'm really hoping that's where the author, LCA goes with it.

This is the opening book in a paranormal serial. I think the description was a bit misleading (maybe due to the short novella length). It leads you to believe the MFC is this partier (there were no parties) who is in hiding from hunters on earth (this was only briefly hinted at) that goes into hell to rescue her friend and has a hard time getting back out (she goes, rescues her friend, and then gets immediately and easily teleported back to the earth realm. Nothing difficult about it.)
Despite being "tricked" into reading this (lol!) I thought it was an interesting beginning to a story.

I’ll start off by saying that I am very familiar with Ms. Andersen’s work.
As usual, this didn’t disappoint!!
It was a sweet and short story. Nice quick read. My only issue, it was too short!
I can see this being perfect for as a prologue or a small piece in a anthology that is later made into a series. I can’t wait to see if she turns it into s series.
As for the story itself, Lily is a half breed with a secret.
When her only friend is taken from her, Lily wastes no time in running after her to rescue her.
Along the way she meets a couple of “old friends”.

Amazing short read! From the first page this book just has you hooked.
Lily is a half demon who is working as a demon hunter. When her best friend is kidnapped she goes to the city of flames to get her back. She is met with three guys she used to know they don’t remember her but they are all attracted to her. They take her to the King but that is just the start of her adventure as her friend tells her about a prophecy and she is the only one who can stop it.
Loved this short read and I cannot wait to carry on with the story.

I loved this book. The FMC is a take no nonsense girl with a great sense of humor and snarky come backs. Great plot and wonderful characters. This is a short story and leaves you wanting the next book right away.

Short RH novella, but not truly finished. So, yeah, I expected a quick read. Because that's the point of a short story for me. I always read such, when I'm unsure what I should read next, or when I need a breather of sorts after an intense book/series. And it is easier to commit to, either. Because it doesn't take much time to read through one.
Unfortunately, this novella was kind of rushed. Without explaining much. We can argue it's a short story, there isn't enough time to go into details. Which I partly would agree too, but on the other hand I have read many good examples of short stories, where there was a plot, character-, and world building. And with a HEA.
So, though I don't expect every author of short stories to exceed in all those facets, I at least expect them, to conclude the things that are mentioned during the story. After the end, I'm aware that this is meant as an introduction to a series, maybe? Though, it wasn't clear to me during the read. So, I constantly was faced with riddles.
For example, I still don't know what is the deal with the angels, and the guy named Caine or what happened with the angel, who Lily tried to save. It wasn't explained much. Same with the other institutions mentioned. Sure, get the gist, that The Department hunts demons and everything other. And that Lily hides herself and is partly working as a demon hunter (though, I'm not sure how a part-time job works in that regard?).
And then there is the rebellion, which goals I'm not aware of? Though, I saw later, that there is another series with Lily's former mentor in it. So, maybe it is explained there. Though, I'm not sure, if I will read it. So, at this point, I can only assume things. The only thing I sure from the information I attained is, that they try to save those other beings. And probably stop The Department. It is usually the goal in most stories.
The character building in regard to Lily was good. She was interesting. She cared for Kate, is strong, determined, and confident. Even funny. The guys were pretty fascinating, too.
Though, again, the author keeps us hanging on the information. So, there is a past mentioned, without truly divulging anything. On both sides. On Lily's part, and then there are the guys.
Sure, I know it's typical to keep mysteries. But again, it isn't clear from the start that this is the prelude for a new series.
So, beside the plot and missing intel, the rest is pretty good and intriguing, and it has steam in it. And a prophecy and emotional dilemmas in the mix. In short: It kept me interested. And I liked the writing style.
But it ends on a sort of cliffy/HFN. The mission is ended, with the view put on the horizon for the future obstacles. Still, I hate it, when it doesn't feel concluded at all. I wouldn't have read it, if I had known that this isn't finished.

“Yup, I’m like a genius fueled by liquor. Liquor and chips.” I enjoyed this story so much! In just a few chapters, the author created characters that I’m fully invested in, and world(s) that I can easily visualize.
Lily is a badass woman with a sense of humor. She is unafraid to jump into the water (literally) to go after what she wants. She’s hellbent (pun intended) on protecting others & does her best to do so. Lily has a history with hell, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a wild, exciting ride as we learn more about that in the future!
The MMCs each have their own established personality and backstory, and there’s also history between the guys and Lily. Their individual histories & how the three of them came to be friends are touched on in the book, but the amount we do learn is just the right amount to go with where the story is. I can’t wait to learn more about each of them and find out how & why they ended up in hell.
I love how Lily calls the shots in her relationships with the men. She holds her own around them and isn’t a damsel in distress by any means. They’re clearly intrigued by Lily and want her; at the same time, they show her respect.
The side characters are also intriguing & well-developed – they are clearly important to Lily and she to them in return. Lily may not trust easily, but she has very tight bonds with those who are able to earn it. I immediately got a Bo and Kenzi vibe (from the tv show Lost Girl) from Lily and Kate’s relationship, which I loved, & I’m looking forward to seeing more of their friendship in the future.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "LOST SOULS"
OMG!!! I loved this story from the start full of action, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, lies, angst, steam, kidnapping, Demons, Witches, Shifters, Hunters, twists you didn't see coming.
Lily is keeping a secret that if found out could be deadly for her she's a Demon hunter if The Department knew what she hiding it wouldn't bode well for her, her BF Kate is kidnapped by Zarr & Lily has to make a trip to Hell to get her back, she has history there.
Lily get to the City of Flames three level ten demons Jaxson, Ian & Zane go in search of the intruder Jaxson is first one to find her, she's known them from when she was a kid she's always been attracted to them all, their totally surprised she made into hell.
I definitely recommend to get this excellent well written start to this new series Lily, Jaxson, Ian & Zane take you a rather interesting adventure a few surprise they didn't expect, will she save Kate in time & escape hell its a must read you can't miss loved the characters so looking for more.
I'm can't wait for"MATED TO THE DEMON KING'S"

This was such a quick, fun read. For a story that’s only 82 pages, the author packs a lot into the book. There’s a lot of world building - both of earth and the demon realm, we’re introduced to the main characters, there’s a fair amount of spice or sexual tension at least, a good dose of action and the author even sets up the conflict for the upcoming series.
I absolutely adore Lily, our fmc. I’m always a sucker for a strong, kick ass woman who knows what she wants, holds her own in a fight and is willing to put in the work and do what’s necessary. Lily is all that and more. She’s got a smart mouth, can be awkward on occasion, and takes ride or die friendships seriously. I cannot wait to see what trouble the guys get into that she has to reduce them from.
The guys on the other hand will probably have some character growth to go through to truly be worthy of Lily. But, they’re still hot, alpha shifters. I mean, a wolf, a panther and a dragon? Enough said.

Super quick, fun read with lots of potential. Lily and her best friend Kate are good characters with quick wit and humor and more of a found family (like sisters) than just friends. Lily found/rescued Kate and offered her a place to stay. Both have supernatural abilities and Lily has an added secret that is exposed when Kate is kidnapped. Lily will do anything for her friend, even face her past, so she’s off on a rescue that will expose her secret and bring her full circle to the place/people she left behind. And it’s a pretty big secret. With the help of three sexy guys she’s dreamed of seeing again, they have their work cut out for them in rescuing Kate and keeping Lily safe along the way. When the kidnapper reveals a prophecy centered around Lily, shock, confusion, fear, and a sense of betrayal quickly follow. Lily and the guys have a huge task ahead to find answers before the prophecy becomes reality.

I couldn’t wait to jump into this book and start reading. This book is definitely for you if you are into RH romances with action, adventure and humour but we can’t forget the steamy moments either. Everyone stares done their noses at Lilly and is constantly telling her she drinks to much and has a bit to much fun between killing paranormal bad guys and hanging with her best friend. But she really doesn’t see it that way due to the massive secret she is hiding that would get her killed if the people around her found out. Lilly is a demon who works as a demon Hunter while pretending she is human. She deserves to have all that fun. Her life is extremely messy but she really doesn’t care. Lilly’s best friend ends up been kidnapped and taken to hell where she has to go to rescue her. Saving her friend is only part of the battle escaping hell is a completely different story. Dam I basically read this book in a few hours as I wasn’t able to put it down. Completely gutted about the cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next one

Lost Souls by Lacey Carter Andersen is a quick paranormal RH romance that was a super fun and easy read. This story takes place in a new world of Angels and Demons and of course the Hunters that try to maintain “order”.
Our FMC Lily is a demon hunter who is living a lie and hiding her biggest secret from those closest to her, because she’s actually just pretending to be human because really…she’s a half breed demon herself…
And while she should be trying to destroy those she hunts, she truly tries to save them. And then her best friend is taken and off she goes on a new adventure where she meets up with three demons from her past, Zane, Ian and Jaxson, and there’s insta interaction—even though they don’t remember her at all because of the aging difference of humans. So coming together, they all embark on a journey to try and save her friend Kate. And when they do, a prophecy is unveiled and they realize that this is only the beginning….
Overall this was a great introduction into a new world from LCA that has great potential and I can’t wait to see where it goes!

This was an absolutely fantastic RH PNR novella. I’m really hoping that it will be expanded on especially with the way it ended. The characters were phenomenally created and matched to perfection. It was full of humor, action, danger, demon hunters, hot demons and a little bit of steam, plus let’s not forget a whole lot of chemistry.
Lily’s best friend gets kidnapped to hell and has to go and rescue her. She knows exactly who she’s going to run into the moment she trespasses into hell. She has been head over heels for Jaxson, Ian, and Zane since she was just a young half-demon and now she’s all woman and intends to get them right where she wants them.
This is a definite must read novella by Lacey, it does have an open ended ending that leaves the impression that it may be extended upon and I truly do hope Lacey does. Can’t wait to see where she takes us next with these characters. Highly recommend this.

L.C.A have written such Amazing books i loved her book lost souls . I loved following lily in her journey and i loved to read her growth as a character…. I just really love the Way this author writes… i love this book she have written it was soo good and it kept me on my toes… the Way she writes is soo intresting.. I’m sure I’m going to love future books by her… i loved Lily’s story and i love watching her relationship grow stronger and stronger…. i really loved the twist and turn…This really Kept my interest the whole Way and i really loves this book…this book was freaking good.. I’m exicted to see What the author comes up with.. i loved How the ended their journey

Lost Souls by Lacey Carter Anderson was a quick and fun little read that packed a punch. I'm talking angels and demons, a hunter society and a rebellion, multiple realms, supernatural politics, The Devil, family drama steam, and a nice fight scene. Lacey even managed a backstory with enough information to fill the gaps while also keeping me guessing.
Lily is a strong mfc, she knows how to kick butt, has a big heart, is snarky, and has a good sense of humor. As for Jaxon, Ian, and Zane, they're the guys that have captured Lily's attention. Three powerful demons that Lil has a past with but not in the way you would guess. The attraction is there and things are just getting started. It looks like Lost Souls might be a prequel to an upcoming series by Lacey. If Lily is the mfc then I can't wait to see what else she'll get up to.

This was a high heat supernatural reverse harem novella with a fierce heroine and three hot demons. Readers are thrust into Lily’s world with minimal backstory provided, which was slightly overwhelming, but the pieces quickly began to tie together. Lily is a half-breed demon hunter that must return back to her roots in the City of Flames to rescue her best friend Kate. She meets with three demons from her past; Jaxson, Zane, and Ian. She remembers them as her lovers but they don’t remember her. All they know is that she lures them in. The steamy moments happened quickly with no build-up (smirk) and everything was so fast-paced. The story could have easily been a full-length novel and I am looking forward to reading more! This glance was not enough and I need more!

Even though this is its own series, jump back and read Mate to the Demon Kings, complete collection, also under the prior name of Demon Hunter because several things make an appearance in this short story. Mainly the rules of the demon levels, the obsidian type stone and magic chalk needed to open portals, and the appearance of Sharon, the female main character in the prior series.
If you have read that one then by all means continue with this one. Short, sweet, to the prophecying point, this story gives you enough info to hook you and reel you in as you begin a new journey with a half demon named Lily. Along the way she is reunited with three shifters, whether her fated mates or not is to be seen. Once finished, you’ll be wanting more and hopefully we won’t have to wait long.

I really enjoyed this book. The world-building is phenomenal. The characters were interesting. Lily is a complete bada$$, my favorite type of fmc. The men were interesting and there was plenty of action. It was spicy but nothing detailed. If you enjoy exciting paranormal romances this reverse harem tale will keep you engaged and wanting more.

Lost Souls is a short novella by Lacey Carter Anderson, that will have leave you eager for more. Lily is a half-demon just trying to get by in life. She takes on jobs in the hopes of helping, but not every job pans out the way that she hopes. So, when her friend is kidnapped by a demon, she’s determined to get her back safely. If that enables her to cross paths with some old “flames” and have some steamy fun – so be it.
Lost Souls is a page-turner and the author hits you with a taste of steamy and leaves you...in need of a cold shower and craving more. This novella will leave you on a cliffhanger with the promise of more to come. Things move quickly so stay on your toes with this one. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Before you read my review, remember that we all have differing opinions so please don't use my review as a reason for you to not read this book. It is a lovely little novella!
Personally, going off of the blurb I was expecting this story to be a little bit more. I do know it is a novella it has 82 pages in total, so a detailed book isn't going to be expected. However I did still feel like it was slightly rushed and the ending was quite abrupt.
It was nice little read though, I loved the paranormal aspect of it and the fact is was a RH.
Again, make your own decision, my review is from my thoughts on the book. Do not let any review deter you from reading a book that you could possibly love!

Lily has to enter Hell to rescue her best friend when she is kidnapped by a demon. Lily is a demon hunter but not many actually know she is half demon herself.
I was quickly hooked by this story and as it is fairly short I just read it straight through. I really enjoyed it, the characters back stories come to light though we dont have the full picture just some teases but then that is to be expected in a novella! When the ending hits it is The end. For now. I really hope this is followed up as their story is far from over and I would really love to see the continuation of this story

In 5 short quick word's You Need To Read This. Oh my lord was I hooked from the beginning I couldn't put it down. This might be a quick hot read, but it sure packs a punch.

Love Lacey’s world of Angels and Demons. And this book is no different. Though it’s short, there’s no lapse of drama, steam, or action. As a half breed playing human to be a demon hunter, she gets more than she bargained for when her best friend is kidnapped. Now she has to face her past, both good and bad, and return to Hell, or the City of Flames, to be precise. Her only consolation? Thanks to the difference in aging between there and home, she’s older and wiser, and her sexy past hasn’t aged much at all. Much closer to their age, she’s Hell-bent on at least having some fun on the way to save her friend.

This is a fun read. So we learn that there is a department of hunters trying to rid the world of angels and demons. Lily is our fmc she is a half breed. she’s learned that her best friend is taken and now she has. To go hunt her down. So she enters the City of flames. She meets three demons from her past who unfortunately dont remember her. But they set out to help her find her friend. Zane, Jaxson and Ian are the demons and they instantly connect with Lily and are willing to help her. They find Kate (the friend), but of course its not that easy. A prophecy gets unveiled and now theyre only at the beginning of there journey. I cant wait to see what happens next.

Oh my gosh! What I wouldn’t give to get a full length book on these characters! I loved the short story but it definitely left me wanting for more. Lily was a great FMC, she’s powerful, strong, caring and so many other amazing qualities. I would love to learn more about the guys, but it the world building was good enough.
