We all have some anger in our hearts, and it corrodes relationships everywhere, from the individual to the international. But anger is never healthy or justified. This is not a book about moderating or transforming our anger, but getting rid of it. At its root, anger is a spiritual rather than an emotional issue. We can't be angry, and peaceful and loving, at the same time. This is a book about learning what forgiveness really means, how to be peaceful, and to live without anger. It's about healing the wounds of our anger-driven habits and learning who we really are. Mike George begins by analysing the illusions we have created for ourselves that justify our anger. He continues, in part 2, by exploring our own inner resources that we can draw on to heal its scars. In part 3 he focuses on forgiveness-not just forgiving others, or ourselves, but the spiritual realisation that anger is not only futile, there is a part of you that it has never touched.

A book full of some useful advice, apart from a bizarre digression the author took on why peace movements are never useful.

This book on my favorites shelf. It is such a terrific book that one could only wish everyone would read. Anytime I find myself slipping into any kind of anger I flip the book open and soon, once again, realize how pointless it is to get mad. Thanks to the author Mike George for making me a little wiser.

super funny, super practical 'voice' about madness, and being free from it.

I have seen many YouTube videos of Mike. After reading this book I am able to relate it ideas he has expressed in his talks. It's a wonderful book and takes you systematically through the process of forgiveness by understanding what is anger and what peace is. Wish everybody could read these wonderful ideas and make his or her life peaceful.

It is quite good book if you just started your journey to be a better person, to heal yourself and to awake spiritual. But if you already in that path this book doesn't help you a lot. In the end of it I found it quite boring and repeatetive and it was really hard to finish it. But other than that if you suffering from anger this book will help your healing process.

Finishing this right after "The courage to be disliked" and honestly by comparison I prefer the later one much better. Though there are some points worth mentioning but I think it focuses on causes rather than cure which is the reason I find it less impacting.

Waste of money and time.

Awful. Just awful. Ancient Gnostic heresy disguised as a self help book dealing with anger. I do not recommend it.

Fantastic book! I could not put this down. Definitely an orgasm for the brain. I highly recommend this book for people that are suffering with anger. Which is everyone. I’ve been using the tools and they have helped me tremendously! Especially when I would have fights with my spouse. Now when I have fights I have been able to control my thoughts and feelings so they don’t turn into rage.

Great book read it!

Nice book which tell me the biggest illusion i have that they are not responsible for my suffering, it's only my mind's creation .. & how forgiveness is just a thought away .. really deep diving book which highlight the quality of the being .. the thyself .. what we actually are... thanks for such a sweet creation in very simple language .. highly recommended for everyone to read so that we can make the whole human physic pure .. "when we changes world changes" - this book will help in doing so..

Worthwhile book for anyone who’s looking to curb their anger and manage it in an awakened way. You will learn about the root of your anger, why we are wired for peace to reach spiritual enlightenment, and how mindfulness and meditation will allow you to realize your full potential.
