"Night Machine is about a man's imagined life in a post-apocalyptic landscape where he drives an armored bus searching for the monster that ended the world. His real life, dealing with relationships, insomnia and work, and his imagined life collide and blur into one another as he nears and readies to kill the monster." -- Atomic Books
MoCCA 2011 happened. The Secret Acres table this year seemed to be surrounded by a cluster of really good things, among them a bunch of terribly affordable comics by Alex Kim. This story of an armored bus searching the burning city of an insomniac's unsleeping brain is one of his newest and best, hitting a fine balance of reality and unreality in clean, expressionist black and white design.
