He was my high school crush who bullied me in high school, and now the billionaire needs a favor from me… Real estate mogul Rowan Marshal is many things. A powerful alpha male. Charming and confident. Sexy as sin. He kissed me on a dare, then made me the laughing stock of the school… how times have changed. I shrugged off my shy wallflower persona and in a fun twist of fate, I now hold the keys to the biggest deal of his career. Payback would be simple. Despite my better judgment, I hesitate. Rowan claims to be a different man and his apologies seem genuine. Attraction sizzles between us. I can’t deny that I long to give myself to him in ways I never have with any man. Yet when I give in to my desires, I learn the hard way that actions can have the most unexpected consequences—and two little pink lines can change everything.
Hello! I write contemporary romances that are a sizzling blend of passion sprinkled with an "enemies to lovers" spice, irresistible alpha men, and a guarantee of a happy ever after.
My stories are crafted with an intent to transport readers away from the humdrum of daily life and into a realm of romance... where peace ensues and a mini-escape is just a page away.
I hope that my stories have the power to make you forget the world, even if just for a short while. Read at your own risk. Your heart might just skip a beat or two.
First book from this Author and probably the last.
This book had basically EVERY plot twist, coming after one another. After a while it was more ridiculous than any book I have ever read and I just could not take this seriously, but I rarely DNF a book so I kept going.
So this "well educated" 25+ virgin woman has unprotected sex for weeks/months, than she is surprised that she got pregnant?! She has no common sense or had any sex ed. There was no talk about sexual health, proper birth control or even safe words, as the woman is very inexperienced ...
Many other things bothered me, but I am not wasting more time writing this review. I just hope people who read this book will understand that this is not a healthy relationship dynamic. Yikes.
Yes, this story was crazy and loveable all at the same time. I'm sure that some if not most of us have had a bully, but I don't think it was anything like Carrie could imagine. She has been picked on and humiliated, but her spirit wouldn't let her break. Now she's a big shot and has the love of her uncle and her passion to be better. Rowan was the camel that broke its back when they were in school. What he did was far worse than Carrie could imagine. Now he's back in her life and is looking for a favor. Rowan knows his life isn't all peaches and cream and when he sees Carrie again for the first time since high school he will do whatever it takes for her forgiveness. Sometimes we don't get a second chance to confront those who hurt us. And I loved how this book gave Carrie that chance. Can Rowan convince her he isn't that person anymore?
DNF- Disgusting He really was a bully with her in High school, seven years later H is still too arrogant and a jerk, saying her how to behave, not yelling at him, move on and bla, bla, bl... He never embraced what he did and is only interested in business I needed more humility from him, he is not like that at all... she is a doorma, one of the worst because she did have a choice to step out of the business with him but choose to stay, she has no self respect, I would never let that asshole touch me, Her uncle is the only decent character in this book,
"You know a lot about a man for how he treats others", so true!
It started off as a bet Rowan Marshall was one of the guys in highschool that made Carrie Bliss's life absolute hell. She graduated and never looked back. Now seven years later who else but Rowan shows up at her office to take care of some business. Rowan has wanted Carrie from the first time he kissed her on a dare in highschool. Can he make up for past mistakes so the two of them have a future? This was a lovely read and for once the man had the appropriate reaction to some life changing news. (I hate the freakouts/temp breakups that are so cliche.)
I love that he first starts out as her bully in high school but he doesn’t stay that way. I do wish we found out why Rowen agreed to the bet in the first place but I’m happy with what transpired in the book.
I also wish we found out what gender the twins were that’s just me though I think it’s nice to find that out an the names they picked.
I’m glad they got past what happened in high school an ended up with each other.
This is a new to me author an I’ll definitely read more from them.
While I really enjoyed the story and the alpha male MC, I had a hard time with the female lead. The story started out great and I thought she was going to be much stronger. My early admiration for her endurance in high school slowly morphed into disappointment at her weak relationship with reality after high school. Her relationship with her immediate family is most understanding, however. While the editing isn't the cleanest, the characters are well developed, whether you like them or not, and it moves right along.
This was Rowan & Carrie’s book. He kissed me on a dare, then made her the laughing stock of the school… She shrugged off her shy wallflower persona and in a fun twist of fate, now holds the keys to the biggest deal of his career. Payback would be simple. Despite her better judgment, she hesitates. Rowan claims to be a different man and his apologies seem genuine. An intriguing read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Rowan and Carrie are enemies because of an incidence that Rowan caused at the expense of Carrie. The beginning of the story was a little shaky but once you get past the background, they are now adults and Carrie is in the driver's seat. She has access to a real estate property that will be the biggest deal of his career. Will Carrie help him make the deal or get her revenge. This story kept me glued to the pages!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We all deserve a second chance at romance. This story shows that it can be achieved with faith, confidence, compassion, trust, respect, and unconditional love for one another to start over as friends first, with fellowship and shared interest. Hat off to the author for another great book
Rowan was a billionaire. He was going to buy an old building to renovate. Upon going into the office he saw none other than Carrie Bliss from high school. There was so much tension because he humiliated her in school, seven years prior. Now they had to be together for days to settle the deal. Oh no! Could they do it? Read and find out. Great story!
I like the way the two found each other and both knew it was love almost immediately. No game playing except for the class reunion. The family facing each others concerns knowing the love was always there, but not recognizing it as a teenager. It ended well with truth and emotions winning in the end.
My first thought is that this book is going to be a bully romance. It is not. It us a true second chance romance with a little steam and no spice. It is a quick sweet read. Enjoy.
I love this book. The writing style is so interesting and the characters were so deep and meaningful. Certainly a favorite of mine. Will read again for fun in the future!
