Written by my colleague...I can almost hear him reading this aloud to me as I read it. Interesting perspective/framework for the sociology of revolutions, which he has also been applying more recently to the Iranian revolution (and he will have plenty of fodder from the recent Arab Spring). Admittedly, I skipped the part that he says the non-specialist/non-sociologist can skip...
