Another military suspense thriller from USNA classmate Ward Carroll featuring USNA grad and SEAL Ash Roberts, this time banished to ROTC duty in western South Dakota after a boarding party gone wrong in the Persian Gulf. But trouble seems to have a way of finding Ash and this time the enemy is homegrown. He teams up with the local sheriff, the ROTC midshipmen he's whipped into shape and his old running mate Wild against the more heavily armed Badlands Militia. Enjoyable page-turner that's all the more timely now, given the increased prominence of militia members and wannabes on the national scene.
