Masashi Kishimoto (岸本斉史 Kishimoto Masashi) is a Japanese manga artist, well known for creating the manga series Naruto. His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive. Two of his former assistants, Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand's), have also gone on to moderate success following their work on Naruto.
Kishimoto's first work as a manga artist was Karakuri (カラクリ?), which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. This earned him the Weekly Shōnen Jump's monthly "Hop Step Award" in 1996, granted to promising new manga artists. This was followed in 1997 by a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO-ナルト-), published in Akamaru Jump Summer. In 1998, Kishimoto premiered as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump, but it proved unpopular and was canceled soon after. In 1999, a serialized version of Naruto began publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly became a hit.
i bought this book a few months ago and not a day has gone by where i didn’t open it to read and reread these dumb little stats. i can recite every character’s birthday, height, and favorite food like a damn encyclopedia. such preposterous information in here. why would i want to know everyone’s blood type but not their chakra nature? why would i care what age they were promoted to chunin if they’ve been jonin for like a decade? so awesome. 10/10 i’d give this an extra star if i could simply for the enormous joy it brings me.
I like the cover and spine but I don't like the back that much. This book has colored pages at the beginning and I like when books do that. I also like that the character data pages are laid out in a way that's easy to understand. I think it's a little weird that a dog gets the first page instead of the main character though. The character pages take up most of the book and they include the name, a few panels of the character, a quote, a description, ninja registry number, birthday, height, personality, favorite/less favorite foods, and their interests. Also, there is a lot of bonus content at the back. I think that this is really good for a data book.
It's a good character guide, I would've liked Kishimoto to give us more info about some characters, lot of them have an "?" in their description, but out of that, pretty good book, can't wait for pt. 2.
Cute data book that includes stats and abilities of pretty much every Naruto character right up until the start of the Shippuden War Arc. I've used this to refresh my knowledge of several characters lost to my shitty memory
I love it. It's a great way to look back on things you forgot. It has character info, jutsu info, facts, surveys of best scenes and other things. Also illustrations on the drawing of some characters. I really love the colored pages of some scenes, like itachi flicking sasuke forehead for the last time. And it also has a special bonus manga where naruto try's to figure out what Kakashi looks like under his mask.
Yo me compré este manga cuando veía mucho naruto ( lo sigo viendo pero no es mi anime favorito) , leí este manga y sinceramente lo recomiendo para las personas que van a entrando al fandom de naruto 👌
