Olive is a people pleaser. She doesn’t want to disappoint anyone. Adam is a filmmaker hoping to bring his art to Pine Ridge. But first, he has to get the mayor to approve his plans.

I love this series and the fact that Zoe is writing spicy romance again!

Olive was such a sweet character. I love how she owned who she was and found her voice. Adam is caring and compassionate and wants the best for people. Their dynamic was solid.

I am looking forward to the next installation in this series!

This was a pretty low-stakes romance with no major drama or tension, so it was quite different from what I'm used to reading. I did like Adam's NSFW thoughts when they had not got together, especially the dream he had been having before his ringing phone woke him up. That was hot.

I was left disappointed by the sudden ending because the author had increased the 'drama' in the previous chapters, but then it just fell flat when Olive confronted her father at the end. That part should have been more emotionally satisfying, which it was not.

The romance between Adam and Olive was also okay-ish, but it wasn't over the top or great either. There wasn't enough chemistry to keep their relationship alive.

Another aspect of this book that I didn't like was the number of ellipses in the dialogues. Every time a character spoke, it felt like they were stuttering. An easy remedy to reveal the character's embarrassment, confusion, or shyness is to show the character's actions rather than using so many ellipses in the same paragraph.

Overall, it was a quick beach read, but it's not something I'd recommend to people wholeheartedly.

This is part of the small town romance series, Pine Ridge Chronicles. This is Olive's story and it tells the story of her helping former high school classmate Adam get the desired permits for his upcoming film production. She's from a political family who does not like or see the value in politics. That is until she helps Adam lobby his case before the town powers to be. If you like Hallmark movies you'll like this sweet small town romance. A quick, easy read that you will enjoy. I read a free advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

So we're back in Pine Ridge, this time to see what Olive is up to. She's an intelligent, sweet teacher who is also a major people pleaser. She's also the daughter of the town mayor. Adam travels back to his hometown to get permits for his new movie. Will Olive be able to help without getting into politics with her dad? There's plenty of twists, passion, laughter, friendship, family, love and more throughout. Enjoy this whirlwind romance!.

Olive doesn’t want to follow her father’s political career; she just wants to be a teacher.
Adam is a horror movie actor who wants to get a permit to film in Pine Ridge, but he is not getting an answer about them. So, he decides to ask Olive for help.
This book was not as good as the previous ones. The story between them is weak. However, I liked how Olivia talked to her father at the end of the book.

This is the second book in the series. Olive and Adam's story is a sweet but emotional tale as we see Olive find the courage to stand up to her father and Adam find the love that he has been missing.

Olive and Adam have a connection that lights up the pages and warms your heart. Olive finding her strength makes me smile as Adam wins more than he expected.

This book is the second in the Pine Ridge Chronicles which focuses on Olive, the daughter of a political family, and Adam, a filmmaker who returns to make a film in Pine Ridge. Olive helps Adam in troubleshooting the problems associated with his film. This sweet read has good characters and a nice romantic storyline.

Olive is the second book in the Pine Ridge Chronicles small town romance series. It’s a quick read. Olive sets out to help her old high school classmate, who needs her to talk to the mayor, her dad. It doesn’t go well. Sister Hazel suggests a trade. However, in the end honesty is the best policy.

Olive by Zoe Adams is a good, and enjoyable short insta love small town sweet romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. This is Adam and Olive's story that is a very entertaining short sweet romance read.

Book two in the Pine Ridge Chronicles brings Olive and Adam's story. They knew each other from school and connect when he asks for her help. Sparks are flying and it's not long before they give in. It's a short and sweet story with Olive now having a date for Evelyn's mom's wedding.

A small town, heartwarming romance. Olive and Adam had a wonderful connection and chemistry. I enjoyed the storyline and that the book was an easy read. This sweet story of friendship, family and finding yourself made this story hard to put down.

Wonderful story with a Twist as the two characters try to work out issues while falling in love. These type of reads are always entertaining because there is good interaction and conversations and conflict and anything else you can think of as the characters try to fight love but fall in love anyway.
