4 1/2 Stars The action is perfect. Likable characters that are, so far, growing in each novel. I could really see these books on television, like Firefly or Battlestar. A great adventure that I'm happy to go along on.

I'm really liking this series. There aren't that many reviews so I'm going to write some of the foreword from book 3.

Almost 200 years after the global holocaust, Kane, former Magistrate of Cobaltville, often thought the world had been lucky to survive at all after a nuclear device detonated in the Russian embassy in Washington, D.C. The aftermath--forever known as skydark- reshaped continents and turned civilizations into ashes.
Nearly depopulated, America became the Deathlands- poisoned by radiation, home to chaos and mutated life forms...

That's just a brief explanation, but I hope it gives you a better idea than the book blurb.

On to the next~

This is just as fun as the rest of ‘em, but oh, the expositional dialog! Make it stop!

The second in the new Outlanders series and just as good as the first one. The characters were developed more. James Axler also managed to tie a number of questionable historic events (the Roswell Incident) in with this story. Can’t wait to start book 3

Baptise nearly dies thru out this title. Kane and this crew take on weird religious zealots; Soviet hard liners; insane muti. Insane Muti that can control men using ring to assert mental control over his brothers and fellow tribesman.

Set in the same world as the Deathlands series. These books follow another set of adventures in the post holocaust world. Good men's adventures series. Recommended
