The Mastermind. The Patsy. The Heist Vegas never saw coming.... At only twenty-five, Honey has a long list of exes in her life; an ex-con father, an ex-husband, and an ex-career as an ATF agent. Playing the cards life has dealt her, she's now working as a blackjack dealer in one of the most profitable casinos in alluring Las Vegas. Soon, her life's training is put to good use as Honey develops a master plan to get that dirty money! The city is taken by surprise when an armored truck is high-jacked in broad daylight on a sweltering hot Wednesday. Normally prepared for anything and everything, the Las Vegas police are baffled by this blatant crime, and pressure from the public and casino owners drive them to desperation. Honey and her crew of loyal followers pull off one of the most rewarding and masterful heists in Las Vegas history, but not everyone will get to enjoy the loot. Someone has to take the fall.
Nisa Santiago came bursting onto the literary scene in 2009 with her debut title, Cartier Cartel. The book garnered rave reviews and left her readers wanting more. She followed up with the sequel, Return of the Cartier Cartel – which turned into a national bestseller. The Library Journal declared that Santiago’s sequel, [Return of the Cartier Cartel] “Will keep readers hooked to the last chapter.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, and now living in Harlem, the author is moving at full speed with her writing endeavors. Coined the Duchess of Hop-Hip lit, Santiago humbly admits, “I’m just grateful to be doing what I love as a career and not just a hobby.”
Her latest novel, Bad Apple – The Baddest Chick is slated for an October 2011 release date. The author emphatically states that her decision to start a new series instead of penning part 3 to Cartier Cartel was a brave one. “My readers love Cartier and they wanted more.” Santiago wants her readers to know that she has so many stories to tell and shows no signs of slowing down. Dirty Money Honey is an anthology with her peers, Erica Hilton and Kim K., Melodrama Publishing’s new trinity of authors.
DIRTY MONEY...AND THIS AIN'T DIDDY'S GROUP!! I loved this book, because it showed how a group of people can pen a book and it flows just like one person wrote it!!! BRAVO!! this book was all of tha!, because Honey knew how to get it how she lived...with her specialized training, her "perfect" team she pulled out all the stops for the perfect HIT!!! but everything planned right, doesn't always go right!!!
“Dirty Money Honey” is the story of 23-year-old Honey Robertson and her crew. Honey is an ex ATF agent who was forced to resign after evidence surfaced about her application containing false information. Honey moves from New York to Las Vegas. While working at a Las Vegas Casino, she devises a plan for the ultimate/perfect heist. Rob the casino in broad daylight without anyone noticing them. Sounds easy but the plan has to be perfect.
Written in the voices of three talented ladies, this story comes together as one. Each author is responsible for a section - The Mastermind by Nisa Santiago, The Crime by Erica Hilton and The Patsy by Kim K., who is a newcomer. “Dirty Money Honey” is a good quick read.
Soon as you pick up this book you can already tell that's it gone be a wild ride and I'm here to tell you that the main character Is one smart bad B*****.When I say I couldn't put this book down,I really couldn't.If you looking for an all nighter look no more. This is my first time reading a book where three different authors write one story.I'm also loving the fact that you can tell in the different writing styles as you read the book.Don't know if its gonna be a part 2 but with a ending like that I'm sure of it.KUDOS to you 3 Ladies!!!!!!
Honey definitely showed she ain't one to mess with or underestimate! That Chief was a firecracker! Honey seemed like a "good" girl gone bad. Making sure to use her experience and training every step of the way. This book had a little bit of everything, love, humor, deceit, scandal, drama, death... It kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. Would the plan go through as planned.... I still feel like Honey's story isn't finished,. Maybe there will be a continuation and if so I'll definitely read it!
Dirty Money Honey is a good read I love the concept of 3 authors writing 1 story picking up where the other left off and putting their own twist on each part of their story..It has a continuous flow and if they didnt show you when the authors changed u would have no idea..Its a 5star for me not only for the drama ,but the intricate plot that was created by Honey.
I really enjoyed this book! I hope they write another book using the Honey character. She is one bad chick! lol This book held your attention from beginning to end.
excellent book. so well written you would have never known it was written by three different authors. Honey masterminded and executed her revenge well.
So I picked up “Dirty Money Honey” thinking I was getting an anthology of three short stories. Without bothering to read the synopsis, I flipped to Kim K’s section. Wanted to see what the newbie was working with only to realize it’s one story about a crime broken up into three parts – The Mastermind, The Crime, and The Patsy. Back to the beginning I went. Like I mentioned, “Dirty Money Honey” details a crime. Twenty-five-year-old Honey has moved from New York to Las Vegas after losing her job and her man. But she didn’t just move to Vegas for a change of scenery. Honey has a plan, a plan that will set her up for the rest of her life. That is if all goes well.
“Dirty Money Honey” is a very quick read. Come to think of it, I haven’t read a Melodrama book that wasn’t a quick read. While entertaining, something, and I don’t know just what, is missing. The book lacks that umph to make it memorable. And although there were three voices, they blended as if one. No voice stood out more than the others. This could have easily been a book by one author. Whether that is a good or bad thing, I don’t know.
Good read......interesting ending & I loved the different writing styles of the 3 authors. They made the transition from 1 author 2 the next virtually unnoticeable.
Damn I wasn’t expecting all that in just that amount of time.I swear Honey is definitely a good one because that man of mine would have definitely gotten the business that night. And that chick definitely would have too smh. That’s beyond trifling as hell. She is better then me.But that is three ppl gone so far smh. I ain’t with Chief at all he be on some other bullshit for sure. And his friends ain’t no better.I tell you I think something really bad is about to happen because they ain’t check like Honey told them too.I don’t know why it’s so hard for guys to listen wen a women tells them something, half the time the things we say is to save your life. This is getting better and better.I knew Honey was gonna do something like that lol.He definitely deserved it all the way.He just didn’t listen.I’m shocked all that happen after the Heist. That women is gonna be a problem for Honey, she needs to nip that in the bud.And them cops don’t listen either smh I swear that’s what some of them do in today’s time.I’m glad all the ladies are okay and doing as they suppose too.I can’t wait to read this last part.I know shit really bout to hit the fan.Damn I definitely knew Honey had something up her sleeve lol. That was the best take down/revenge she could get on someone to be honest. Now it would be nice to get a second part too this book to know what exactly happen to everyone after they was arrested.Honeys ex-husband deserved everything he got.Definitely a good read.
I really enjoyed this book honey didn’t play around at all, her husband played her , so didn’t her dumb ass brother . She had a good job working as a atf agent and had good benefits for her mom to get help but it got all taken from her one night when her supervisor tried to rape her and she left the scene to go home and caught her husband cheating on her and she kicked them both out naked in the cold . Than he tried to file charges on her for attempted murder so she left after the charges were dropped and worked at the bellargio as a black jack dealer and met different people and decided to pull of a heist . She had girls she met in Vegas to help her and flew her dad and her brother in on the heist . She was the mastermind of it all but she had to set it up that 2 casinos got robbed and one would get caught and people would take the fall so she and her crew would be good . A few people got killed and there was a witness that knew it was her by what motion she did and wearing green like always and she wanted money as black mail and honey decided to handle her but not before putting money into her account to outsmart the cops and she needed to pin someone else for the heists someone that did her dirty in her life . This book is definitely worth reading I couldn’t get enough of it .

I liked this book, I'm a fan of Nisa Santiago, & I LOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVE ANY BOOK OR GOOD MOVIE ABOUT HEISTS("SET IT OFF" & "TAKERS" ARE MY FAVORITE FILMS IN THIS REGARD!)! Until this book I had never heard of Eric Hilton or Kim K, but working with Nisa Santiago had proven a good move because all three ladies crafted an well-thought out story of a heist of two casinos, upon a former AFT agent Honey Robertson relocated from NY to Las Vegas after getting fired from her job, to take a gig as a casino worker. Honey brought her brother & dad out to Vegas to help facilitate the heists & an eye witness nearly posed a problem for Honey after recognizing some of Honey's odd mannerisms that she'd done many times absent-mindedly while doing her job, & had done again, absent-mindedly, during the heist. Honey quickly had solved her problem with the eye witness & moved on. I don't normally subscribe to the street fiction novels being developed into films, BUT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD LOOK as A FLICK IF THE SCRIPT IS WELL-WRITTEN PROPERLY & CASTING IS ON POINT, THAT IS! Great Job, LADIES for coming together to bring this story to the pages!
One crime told from three different viewpoints ... all the stories were cohesive; well-integrated. It absolutely made sense and I would recommend anyone to read this book; the storyline has not been done a million times over! Amazing!!!
Melodrama’s latest release Dirty Money Honey brings together three authors to tell the captivating story of Honey Brown and her attempt to pull of a Las Vegas heist of magnitude proportions.
Nisa Santiago (The Mastermind) ~ Nisa has the pleasure of introducing readers to Honey, and establishing just how and why she became the brains behind an operation so large. Nisa illustrates that Honey is up for the challenge and can effectively improvise when things go astray.
Erica Hilton (The Crime) ~ Erica narrates the action sequence of the story. Once Honey’s well thought out plan is put into motion will everyone be able to reap the benefits of their ill gotten gains? This part of the story flowed effortlessly almost like watching a movie.
Kim K (The Patsy) ~ By far my favorite part of the story Kim K showcased just how conniving Honey was as she took calculated steps to ensure that she’d get away with the crime of the century.
Dirty Money Honey worked well and although written by three different authors they were able to maintain the flow of the story seamlessly. Making for a high-octane read with a mind-blowing conclusion and a lead character that readers won’t easily forget.
At first I thought this book was a little scattered (maybe because at one point there were too many characters. But then I really started to like it. It seems like it was a bit short (I read it in a day and a half). It's about a woman named Honey who, after unfairly losing her job with ATF and, catching her husband in her bed with another woman leaves New York to become a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas. She then plans what should be the perfect heist to rob a casino. It's written by 3 authors. The last two seamlessly picking up where the other leaves off. I am looking forward to a (possible?) part 2.
Excellent read by very talented authors. This book was definitely a page turner & a must read!! The skillful & detailed mind of Honey was unlike any other. Her master plan of the casino heist and getaway left no stone unturned. The set-ups were unbelievable. I could read this book again & enjoy it just as much as the first time!
Took me a minute to get into it but it was good. I didn't expect Honey to to want revenge on Olivia & Andre' Andre. But she did & I think she dd a pretty good job a covering her tracks. & Detective Hernandez had a "hard on " for her cause he kept coming for her even after they had both Olivia & Andre.
Who ends a book like that these three... Right when Im sooo drawn into this book even more than I was it comes to an end, that's so wrong on so many levels. Where ispn the where is book 2 I need it like 6 chapters ago. So Depressing. Ughhhhh This right her was A++++++ KUDOS LADIES
