Frustrated and caught between a fledgling video-vixen career and dysfunctional friends, Jasmine wants to be upgraded from Nico's mistress to his wifey. But Jasmine soon finds out that the glitz and glamour of huge diamonds and fancy cars come with an even heavier ransom; drug deals and murder. She digs up dirt on Jasmine that can destroy her, but Mia can't even imagine what lengths Jasmine will go to, to keep her secret under wraps. Trifling

“Wifey: Mistress to Wifey” by Erica Hilton is a scandalous story of two women and their fight for one man…Nico. Jasmine is a young and beautiful female with street smarts and education. Mia is a beautiful model accustomed to a lavish life. Both women go to battle to become the wife of Nico.

Readers that take the dive and read this novel will discover the true meaning of both characters but only one lady will WIN! While reading this novel, I felt as though I’ve read this book before by a different author. I think there are too many titles similar to this novel and authors must find new and exciting titles to gain more readers. While enjoyable, I felt there should have been more to this story. I’ve read a few books from the author Erica Hilton and this wasn’t my favorite.

Very entertaining. It was frustrating to read because of all the plotting, scheming, and lying, but it kept me engaged. Definitely gonna read the next one.

Be Careful What You Wish For...

Jasmine is a struggling video model looking to be upgraded. Jasmine was confident that her current boyfriend Shabazz was capable of doing so but only 6 months into the relationship her confidence in Shabazz’s capabilities are beginning to dwindle. With her money train looking like its run its course Jasmine is ready to jump ship. What’s higher than number one, Shabazz’s boss Nico?

Nico already has a wifey named Mia that he plans on upgrading to full wife status. Turmoil within his drug organization leads Nico into asking Mia to befriend Jasmine in an attempt to keep tabs on Shabazz. Nico’s desire to gauge Shabazz’s loyalty is just the opening Jasmine needs to make a move on Nico. Jasmine has no problem getting in Nico’s bed but getting Mia out of the picture proves to be more challenging.

Mia didn’t snag Nico just by her beauty she’s far from naïve and although she fully aware of some of the disadvantages of having a man involved in the game. She tolerates the hardships as a tradeoff for the glitz and glamour. Once Mia recognizes Jasmine’s true intentions she has no intentions of backing down and letting Jasmine claim what’s rightfully hers.

Author Erica Hilton manages to surpass what easily could have been a typical urban novel of two women vying for the love of one man. It excels because it goes beyond the cattiness of two women battling to be number one but also deals with the mostly overlooked hardships that come with being a hustler’s wife. Hardships that Jasmine never bothered to take into consideration but will be forced to deal with in part two.

Tug of War

It’s a childish game of tug of war. In the middle is Nico. On one end of the rope is Mia, Nico’s wifey of several years. On the other end of the rope is Jasmine, Nico’s mistress. May the best woman win.

Reading this book I had to have a few conversations with myself. I said, “Self, it’s just a book. Take it for what it is.” You see, I think that any woman that settles for being a mistress needs an intervention of common sense and a karate chop to the throat. Any woman that thinks it’s cute to be “wifey” needs to have her head examined. It’s just another term for a glorified girlfriend. Wifey doesn’t get any death benefits. WIFE does. So putting my own personal feelings to the side, Erica Hilton delivered an entertaining tale of two women. Character driven with a good pace, “Wifey: From Mistress to Wifey” is worth the read. However…I was so, so, so very disappointed when I got to the last page and realized there’s a sequel. Another book has fallen victim to the sequel/trilogy/series plague. *sigh*

Jasmine thought she had what she needed and wanted in Shabezz, until she met Nico. The only thing is Nico already has a main chick, Mia. Mia may seem like the quiet reserved girl but she is a force to be reckoned with. What starts as an innocent affair between Nico and Mia blossoms into much more. What she doesn't expect is for Mia to pull out her claws and fight for what is hers. Mia has been with Nico for much to long to just let him go. Both women will go to extreme lengths to fight for the man they call theirs.

This was a decent read by Erica Hilton. I will say the two female characters in this book truly drove me crazy with all their back and forth antics over Nico. Even with this being said I couldn't stop reading the drama in order to find out who was on top. The one flaw I had with this book was there some relationships and situations just left up in the air with no closure. Some of the characters weren't developed as they seemed to have a major part in the story, yet they just vanished. I only hope that the second part of the series will tie up any loose ends.

This was an interesting book. It really touched reality a lot of ways. You learn from your mistakes and that should always be a lesson. Mia put her trust in Nico... and he dumped her just like that for Jasmine ,his ex - friends girl. Someone he new hardly anything about. He was only with Jasmine because she killed Shabazz....for him. My oh my and Jasmine is so nieve she thinks he really loves her. She better work with those Feds to free herself.......

This book was everything! I have been wanting to read this for a while and finally got around to it. This book has me angry at men lol. Shabazz was a jerk and Nico was the jerks of all jerks. I felt bad for Mia and I hope in the sequel she will prevail. I'm glad it ended the way it did. I can't stand Jasmine.

Wow this book was hella cray.I can't believe the drama.I know Jasmine was cray but I didn't think that. She went after wat she wanted. Then Mia was simple as ever and then wanted to be dumb.Like she knew wat she was doing in Miami.Im shocked at that ending because I didn't think she would get in that. Now I can't wait to start part two

So you think you wanna be wifey?? This was a very well written story. I loved the character development, and this book had a look of drama!! I wanted more and did not want this book to end at all. Mia was not a game to be played with, but Jasmine wasn't lacking either.

I read the first few chapters and was so confused. These chapters had nothing to do with love or romance, but a shooting and drugs.

This was a ok read, it was a fast paced read but it was a little rushed to me,,...jasmine was only trying to get the benefits & it was a high cost behind it

I am now reading part 2 and forgot to update this. It was definitely a good read, Jasmine is serious and gets what she wants, when she wants and how she wants it. Looking forward to finishing part 2.
