Fans of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard series will love this follow-up story about Dominic and Sophie. Sophie is due to give birth to their baby any day. When she goes missing, Dominic goes on a rampage as he searches for his wife. Lots of McIntyre family members and friends make an appearance in this book, including a few unexpected surprise guests. A suspenseful installment in this family saga, Vanished is a real feel-good story.
I write about alpha protectors who fall in love hard and unconditionally, through the good and the bad. My characters are strong, sexy, and slightly damaged... because no one is perfect. All of my novels have happy-ever-after endings. What else would you expect from a die-hard romantic? I'm the author of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series of contemporary romance novels.
I live in Ohio with my daughter and more than a few dogs and cats. When I'm not writing, I'm reading romance novels and watching movies with happy endings. I'd love to hear from you! You can e-mail me at aprilwilsonwrites@outlook.com. Or, visit my website: aprilwilsonauthor.com.
It's about that time. Can you believe it? Sophie is due any day now. Yup! I am talking about Sophie McIntyre Zaretti, thirty-three years old, who is one of the most sought-after interior designers in, Chicago. She is married to Dominic Zaretti, thirty-eight-years-old, he is now working as a security expert for Shane McIntyre, Sophie’s Brother. Before that, he was an independent contractor doing everything from the bodyguard, and a private investigator, to doing stake-outs, and, even making people disappear, even when the mob was after them. Hence, how he met, Sophie.
During their time hiding out Dominic gets Sophie pregnant. And long story short she is due any day now. Domonic has a two-hour meeting to attend. Then he will be back home with, her since she is on maternity leave. However, a wealthy repeat customer is acting up, and her capable assistant can’t seem to get him to settle down. She tries to get ahold of, Domonic but his phone rolls over to silent. So, she leaves a message. No, name of customer, apartment complex, or anything. He is not happy. Her locator is showing him the last place she was at, but no location right now. He knows something is wrong.
He calls her assistant and gets the four-one-one and it bothers him even more what he’s hearing. He gets all the important info and goes there. His gut says the man is hiding something. Dominic will find his girls. This was so good. Sophie’s customer was twisted I will say that. Dominic’s dad is at least trying. This was a good read.
It’s good but it’s only 81 pages so it feels really rushed.
I did really enjoy it but the spacing is so big and the pages are really short, that it’s probably only 60 pages. It’s very rushed and I would love to have had more details in it.
Sophie and Dominic are expecting their first baby, and she is due any day. When Sophie goes missing Dominic is frantic to find her. It is really good and I loved their relationship, I love their family and we get to seem all of them again. Just wish that it could have included more details about Sophie’s kidnapping, the police interviews, did Sophie have any side effects afterwards from what she was given. I just wish that there was a lot more detail and it was a bit longer. Even another 20 pages would have helped. Dominic at the end gives up his job to guard Sophie and his daughter. How will they survive financially while he’s not working? Does he have family money?
Why oh why can nothing ever be simple for a McIntyre? Oh that's right! They're a McIntyre. And Sophie is no exception. Just because she is the most mild mannered one of them (at least of the girls,) doesn't mean much. She and Dominic didn't have the easiest of starts, so why should having a baby be any easier? Going missing right about the time when your about to go into labor? Send your already jumpy and overprotective husband into a tailspin? Why not? It's the McIntyre way. In typical April Wilson fashion, this novella is fast paced full of suspense, humor, and steam. It's a good look into one of my favorite fictional families.
Sophie McIntyre is due to have her baby any minute. She goes missing and her husband, Dominic Zaretti, his beyond frightened and angry. When he finds out that Sophie when to one of her design client's homes, he is there in a minute. Since this is a short story things wrapped up very quickly. However, the author did a good job of giving us the nitty gritty of Sophie's experience. The book was wrapped up nicely. If you are a fan of this book and have already read Sophie and Dominic's book, Collateral Damage, I would highly recommend this book. April Wilson always satisfies. I love the way she writes her characters.
Sophia and Dominic are about to be parents but another dash of danger finds its way to them first. The danger is creepy, but thankfully easily resolved and quickly morphs into a joyful situation with the birth of their kid. The rest of the book focuses on the entire family and learning who else has moved into the compound aka family subdivision aka McIntyreland. We see who has a new relationship and we get to see Owen and the new Colorado McIntyre couple. I didn’t realize Owen from Dominic’s book was the Owen from the search and rescue stories. Haha a great addition and read.
This heart warming next chapter of Dominic and Sophie welcome their beautiful baby. Not saying gender so there’s no spoilers! But before they can have their moment, Sophie is kidnapped and all hell breaks loose as Dominic does everything he can to find her. What a great glimpse into the McIntrye family and some of our favorites in Search and Rescue are here in this sweet package of a book. April Wilson is always amazing and this did not disappoint at all!
Dominique will stop at nothing to keep the love of his life safe. Their daughter will be here soon, and his life can't be any more perfect... but then...
Sophia never thought he was capable of something this crazy. He was a client and nothing more, but he had other ideas. A meeting that turned into their worst nightmare. Would Dominique find her in time?
This story was intense! The love they share is so strong that it will conquer all the evil in the world.
Wow, April Wilson you never disappoint! What a read 🥰. I really never saw that coming, I was on the edge of my seat. I have been waiting for months to read about Dominic and Sophie and it was well worth the wait. With it being a short story I don’t want to give anything away BUT it’s a book you really need to read. Thank you April Wilson, I can’t wait for the next book.
Dominic and Sophie are anxious to meet their baby who’s due any day now. While Dominic hurries through a meeting to hurry back to relax with his wife but an emergency call about one of Sophie’s most lucrative clients demanding to see her immediately changes the plan. But Sophie doesn’t get home as expected and apparently left her client in time to be home. As Dominic and his teammates scramble to find Sophie, she goes into labor. Rating: 4stars
I just love the dynamic between Sophie and Dominic, so this continuation of their story was a welcome read. That said, I would really like to know the motivation for the Big Bad to kidnap Sophie... obviously, he wanted her and the baby to be his "family," but what brought him to that point? April has the writing chops to give us enough back-story to see the why. I'm kind of surprised she didn't. I still loved the story, just greedy, I reckon.
Love this book. Love the second installment of Dominic and Sophie’s romance story. At the end of the”Collateral Damage,” readers learn that Sophie is expecting. This book starts with Sophie is due to give birth any day. She ends up being kidnapped by a client of hers. Dominic finds her and learns that Sophie is in labor. Readers also get to learn what Sophie’s baby’s name is. Love the second part of Sophie and Dominic’s romance story. Worth the read.
It's good to catch up with the McIntyre family! Oldest sister Sophie finally delivers her baby with Dominic. Of course there's a bit of drama before that, but Dominic is in full protector mode. He takes care of both of his girls and even accepts a kind gesture from his father. The only problem, I want more of this family!
I really love this family and all their adventures. I've read every book cover to cover the day I got them. while its a nice, yet very short story, I'm not sure it was necessary. I mean maybe to keep the readers interested until a new book comes out? But her books are so awesome I would read them if there were years of no books in between.
I love the short stories and the chance to see a glimpse of all the McIntyres. Dominic is one of those super protective men, so it's hard for him to deal with an independent and somewhat headstrong Sophie. But in the end everything ends well and we still have our HEA.
Always good to get a new Mcintyre book. This Novella was a perfect addition. I loved Sophie and Dominic story. Especially welcoming another addition to the next generation. The suspense element was perfect. Gordon is lucky Franco didn't get wind of what he did! Well done April on another success.
Love the McIntyre security family series and all its chatacters. Another great addition to this series. April Wilson"s characters are very relatable and draw you in making you feel like you know them all personally. Great addition to the series as Sophie and Dominic welcome their new arrovial with a touch of drama. Brilliant! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So sweet but so scary To have Phee kidnapped by that crazy guy omg!! Love how Dominic knows just how to find her he reminded me of a blood hound on the scent Then once baby Mia come the love and gentleness he has for being such a big guy just makes me so happy for his family Great read
I am sure most of the regular readers of April Wilson’s books are going to say the same thing i am. I loved it! I love all her books. But really, they are great. Even in the slower moments, they’re good. I read a lot. A LOT. And this set is one of my favorites. I look forward to the books coming in the future.
This was a nice follow up novella for Dominic and Sophie. It was packed with a bit of everything and of course it’s always nice to go back to the McIntyres and see where everyone is up to. I did find this slightly rushed if I’m honest and thought it could have been slightly lengthened out but still an enjoyable read.
As all of April Wilson's (McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series) this book was awesome. A short sweet dramatic look into the lives of the McIntyre Security characters . we get to revisit some of our favorites and experience the same amazing journey into romance, intrigue and mystery. Truly a incredible story!
It is always a pleasure to read April Wilson's work and for some reason, buried in the annals of history no doubt, I have no idea how I came to overlook this gem. Suffice to say I have rectified my error and can certainly confirm my day has been all better for it!
Talk about being on tenterhooks! This book had me hold my breath waaaay to many times! Wandering what in the world would happen next. As always, our dear April Wilson had it all in control. Thank you for yet another outstanding book.
Fantastic read! Great catch up with Sophie and Dominic as they welcome their precious baby into the world but things don’t quite go so smoothly when Sophie goes missing! Love catching up with and seeing all the McIntyre’s pulling together. Highly recommend this amazing series.
Beautifully written and such a heartfelt ending for the most beautiful couple. Wonderful story can't wait for more from April Wilson keep up the great work xxx ❤❤💖💖 I loved it blown away AGAIN xx
As always another great Mcintyre adventure. The future for this clan is always a guessing game and that is what keeps it fesh and exciting. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Vanished has so much packed into this novella. Wonderful family love on display from all the McIntyre clan. Dominic is very sweet with his new baby girl and Phee is one lucky lady! Book 15 is a fantastic addition to the series.
No matter where I am or what I am doing when April releases a book (even a novella or free short story) I always make time and she never lets me down!! So excited for the next future books
One more time April Wilson wrote a super wonderful book! I loved to see Sophie and Dominic again and share their happy moments as new parents. The McIntyre world is absolutely magical and I can’t wait to read the next book!
April does it again. Sophie and Dominic's novella is amazing. It is so sweet to get to see Dominic's soft and vulnerable side. Sophie is, of course, badass. Looking forward to more from the McIntyre family and friends.
