From verbal insults to physical abuse, wealthy and successful novelist Clarye Dawson had tasted a little bit of all that life had to offer, except true unconditional love. When she laid eyes on the handsome, charming and equally wealthy business owner, Gavin Elliston, she had no idea that her life, despite her physical disability, was about to take on a drastic change, and would never be the same.
Clarye is a young woman who lives in Memphis, Tennessee. Each day brings with it a challenge she will face for the rest of her life. Clarye has Polio. Clarye doesn't allow Polio to stop her life.Clarye marries more than once in her life. Also, she is the mother of two children and a grandson. It's ironic her struggle isn't with Polio. Her struggle is with the men she meets and chooses to marry. Each man except for Gavin brings pain in her life. These men bring not only emotional pain in her life but also physical abuse. I cringed when one of the men she married called her "a cripple." The physical abuse is so awful it took my breath away. AUTHOR SHELIA LIPSEY's empathy helped me to stay grounded. The whole time I read the novel my mind thought of women who are really living through violent experiences. I did find it hard to believe that none of the men who entered Clarye's life rejected her because of the Polio. I think having one man walk away because of the Polio would have made the novel even more grounded in reality.
I think women want to share their love so badly. It's easy for women to hang on to the belief that something will happen differently in the next relationship. After all, it's hard to believe that every man walking the earth is so cruel, and of course, it's not true. Many men with fine spiritual values are all around the world and in our very communities. While going through her trials, Clarye keeps her focus on her Christian beliefs. When she almost gives in and thinks about why and how a Good God would let horrible situations happen, her friend helps her recall GOD'S control over every situation and HIS ETERNAL GOODNESS.

"Always, Now and Forever Love Hurts" by Sheila E. Lipsey Bell
My Thoughts....
My, my, my what a emotional dramatic read this author gives to the reader. I will say this was one of those reads that had me on pins and needles all the way through it. At times I didn't know whether to feel sorry for the heroine [Clarye] or not because at time she seemed so lost and would not listen to anyone that was trying to help her I did find it quite interesting that even though she had polio that didn't seem to be her main problem with the men who came into her life. That physical abuse that she received from her boyfriends to husbands was simply off the chart horrible. YES, you can say that Clarye really knew what real PAIN was but in all of that will she find someone to love her? What really troubled me about this novel is that many women are really living through such 'violent experiences' and often it isn't dealt with the correct way, staying just hoping it will get better. I was so happy when Gavin came into her life. Now, I will say to really get all of this story you will have to pick up this novel and see how well this author presents it to the readers. It will definitely be one of those reads that you will think about long after the read. I will say this was a hard read even causing me to tear up at times and still this novel was well written by this author as she gives a well developed and oh so believable read that it will keep your attention to the end.
I enjoyed this Christian novel. I couldn't believe the mental and physical abuse Clarye received from her first 2 husbands, despite the fact that she was born with Polio. Her third husband was a blessing from God. Their love would last forever. Shelia E. Lipsey is a great author.
This book was a roller coaster of emotion for Clarye and for me. Clarye, searched for love and each time she wanted so bad to have it she wound up hurt. I was relieved that she finally experienced it and I cried with her in finding it and having it torn from her hands.
