Sean and Charlie's story was ok. Still tacky and far-fetched. The "law" that saved Sean's life seemed more like a "Oh no! I've gotten myself into a really tight situation, how can I get out of it!?!" than a realistic plot twist.
I did rather enjoy their half of the novel, seeing as this was my first Lori Wick book and all.
Unfortunately, things went from bad to worse. Marcail was so sickeningly good and pretty that I almost died on the spot. Bedsides, what is the reality of two children in the same family being forced to marry, by obscure situations, a person they hardly know and do not love? Rather contrived.
