A curate's egg of a collection. It even looks different from other McGough books on my shelf. At first I thought this was one of his children's collections, then some unusually dark themes appeared, different rhyming structures and several with no rhymes at all. As any fan can expect, there are very funny poems and some great word play, but not on every page. A different kind of collection than I'm used to.
